BPABI and SysV shared libraries and executables<br />

The main difference between <strong>the</strong> bare metal and Base Platform Application Binary Interface<br />

(BPABI) DLL-like models is <strong>the</strong> addressing mode used to access imported and own-program<br />

code and data. There are four options available that correspond to categories in <strong>the</strong> BPABI<br />

specification:<br />

• None<br />

• Direct references<br />

• Indirect references<br />

• Relative static base address references.<br />

Selection of <strong>the</strong> required addressing mode is controlled by <strong>the</strong> following command-line options:<br />

• --pltgot<br />

• --pltgot_opts.<br />
