Fiestas Patronales del Rincón Mágico

Las cofradías surgieron durante la colonia,
pero fueron organizaciones netamente
indígenas. Su finalidad era celebrar la
fiesta del santo patrono, pero su poder
llegó a ser tan grande que influyó sobre
la vida económica de las comunidades.
En estas imágenes podemos observar
el encuentro de los Santos y el saludo o
topa de manos y frentes de los diferentes
cumpas o compadres.
The brotherhood guild originated during
the Colonial Period, but they were purely
native organizations. Their purpose was to
celebrate the festivity of the patron saint,
but its influence became so large that it
started to affect the economic activities
of the people of the towns. In this image
we find the encounter of the saints and the
greeting hand in hand and foreheads of
the different “Cumpas” or godfather.
