Abstract<br />

<strong>Twitter</strong> has become an essential tool for teachers due to<br />

the possibilities it offers to support lifelong learning<br />

outside formal contexts, in open and horizontal<br />

educational contexts. In this sense, one of the best<br />

learning opportunities for teachers are conference and<br />

teachers' meetings. The size and reach of these training<br />

meetings grow tremendously when the participants use<br />

tools like <strong>Twitter</strong> to broadcast the content of the<br />

conferences. The use of this network allows teachers<br />

who are not attending the meeting to participate on the<br />

learning process, increasing the learning possibilities of<br />

all <strong>Twitter</strong> users.<br />

This chapter will analyze interactions in <strong>Twitter</strong> during<br />

two meetings of Spanish as a foreign language teachers:<br />

the 7ENPE and the Encuentro Práctico de Barcelona
