Keep th<strong>es</strong>e instructions in a safe <strong>pl</strong>ace for refer<strong>en</strong>ce purpos<strong>es</strong>, maint<strong>en</strong>ance work and to assist you wh<strong>en</strong> ordering spare parts. For Your Safety RISK! While assembly of the product keep off childr<strong>en</strong>’s reach (Choking hazard - contains small parts). RISK! Any other use of the equipm<strong>en</strong>t is prohib<strong>it</strong>ed and may be <strong>da</strong>ngerous. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for <strong>da</strong>mage or injury caused by improper use of the equipm<strong>en</strong>t. RISK! Instruct peo<strong>pl</strong>e using the equipm<strong>en</strong>t (in particular childr<strong>en</strong>) on possible sourc<strong>es</strong> of <strong>da</strong>nger during exercising. Before beginning your program of training, study the instructions for training carefully. WARNING! Any interfer<strong>en</strong>ce w<strong>it</strong>h parts of the product that are not d<strong>es</strong>cribed w<strong>it</strong>hin the manual may cause <strong>da</strong>mage, or <strong>en</strong><strong>da</strong>nger the person using this machine. Ext<strong>en</strong>sive repairs must o<strong>nl</strong>y be carried out by KETTLER service staff or qualified personnel trained by KETTLER. ! tightn<strong>es</strong>s of bolts and nuts. ■ The training device has be<strong>en</strong> d<strong>es</strong>igned in accor<strong>da</strong>nce w<strong>it</strong>h the lat<strong>es</strong>t stan<strong>da</strong>rds of safety. It is therefore unsu<strong>it</strong>able for therapeutic use. ■ In case of <strong>en</strong>quiry, <strong>pl</strong>ease contact your KETTLER dealer. ■ If the equipm<strong>en</strong>t is in regular use, check all <strong>it</strong>s compon<strong>en</strong>ts thoroughly every 1–2 months. Pay particular att<strong>en</strong>tion to the Instructions for Assembly RISKEnsure that your working area is <strong>fr</strong>ee of possible sourc<strong>es</strong> of <strong>da</strong>nger, for exam<strong>pl</strong>e don’t leave any tools lying around. Always dispose packaging material in such a way that <strong>it</strong> may not cause any <strong>da</strong>nger. There is always a risk of suffocation if childr<strong>en</strong> <strong>pl</strong>ay w<strong>it</strong>h <strong>pl</strong>astic bags! ! WARNING! Please note that there is always a <strong>da</strong>nger of injury wh<strong>en</strong> working w<strong>it</strong>h tools or doing manual work. Therefore <strong>pl</strong>ease be careful wh<strong>en</strong> assembling this machine. ■ Ensure that you have received all the parts required (see check list) and that they are un<strong>da</strong>maged. Should you have any cause for com<strong>pl</strong>aint, <strong>pl</strong>ease contact your KETTLER dealer. ■ Before assembling the equipm<strong>en</strong>t, study the drawings carefully and carry out the operations in the order shown by the diagrams. The correct sequ<strong>en</strong>ce is giv<strong>en</strong> in cap<strong>it</strong>al letters. ■ The equipm<strong>en</strong>t must be assembled w<strong>it</strong>h due care by an adult person. If in doubt call upon the help of a second person, if ■ Before beginning your program of exercise, consult your doctor to <strong>en</strong>sure that you are f<strong>it</strong> <strong>en</strong>ough to use the equipm<strong>en</strong>t. Base your program of exercise on the advice giv<strong>en</strong> by your doctor. Incorrect or exc<strong>es</strong>sive exercise may <strong>da</strong>mage your health! ■ Before use, always check all screws and <strong>pl</strong>ug-in connections as well as r<strong>es</strong>pective safety devic<strong>es</strong> f<strong>it</strong> correctly. ■ Always wear su<strong>it</strong>able sho<strong>es</strong> wh<strong>en</strong> using. ■ Our products are subject to a constant innovative qual<strong>it</strong>y assurance. We r<strong>es</strong>erve the right to perform technical modifications. ■ In choosing the location of the apparatus, <strong>en</strong>sure a suffici<strong>en</strong>t safety distance <strong>fr</strong>om any obstacl<strong>es</strong>. The apparatus must not be mounted in the immediate vicin<strong>it</strong>y of main passageways (paths, doorways, corridors). ■ The product is not su<strong>it</strong>able for use by persons weighing over 110 kg. ■ Nobody may be in the moving range of a training person during training ■ This exercise machine may o<strong>nl</strong>y be used for exercis<strong>es</strong> indicated in the training instructions. ■ The surface on which the un<strong>it</strong> is <strong>pl</strong>aced must be firm and ev<strong>en</strong>. Place rubber or straw mats under <strong>it</strong> to dead<strong>en</strong> any noise or impacts. O<strong>nl</strong>y for ap<strong>pl</strong>ianc<strong>es</strong> w<strong>it</strong>h weights. Avoid powerful oscillations of the dumbbells! ■ Wh<strong>en</strong> mounting the product <strong>pl</strong>ease take the recomm<strong>en</strong>ded torque information into account (M = xx Nm). ! possible technically tal<strong>en</strong>ted. ■ The fast<strong>en</strong>ing material required for each assembly step is shown in the diagram inset. Use the fast<strong>en</strong>ing material exactly as instructed. The required tools are sup<strong>pl</strong>ied w<strong>it</strong>h the equipm<strong>en</strong>t. ■ Bolt all the parts together loosely at first, and check that they have be<strong>en</strong> assembled correctly. Tight<strong>en</strong> the locknuts by hand until r<strong>es</strong>istance is felt, th<strong>en</strong> use spanner to finally tight<strong>en</strong> nuts com<strong>pl</strong>etely against r<strong>es</strong>istance (locking device). Th<strong>en</strong> check that all screw connections have be<strong>en</strong> tight<strong>en</strong>ed firmly. Att<strong>en</strong>tion: once locknuts have be<strong>en</strong> unscrewed they no longer function correctly (the locking device is d<strong>es</strong>troyed), and must be re<strong>pl</strong>aced. ■ For technical reasons, we r<strong>es</strong>erve the right to carry out preliminary assembly work (e.g. add<strong>it</strong>ion of tubing <strong>pl</strong>ugs).
GB Handling the equipm<strong>en</strong>t ■ Before using the equipm<strong>en</strong>t for exercise, check carefully to <strong>en</strong>sure that <strong>it</strong> has be<strong>en</strong> correctly assembled. ■ It is not recomm<strong>en</strong>ded to use or store the apparatus in a <strong>da</strong>mp room as this may cause <strong>it</strong> to rust. Please <strong>en</strong>sure that no part of the machine com<strong>es</strong> in contact w<strong>it</strong>h liquids (drinks, perspiration etc.). This may cause corrosion. ■ The machine is d<strong>es</strong>igned for use by adults and childr<strong>en</strong> should not be allowed to <strong>pl</strong>ay w<strong>it</strong>h <strong>it</strong>. Childr<strong>en</strong> at <strong>pl</strong>ay behave unpredictably and <strong>da</strong>ngerous s<strong>it</strong>uations may occur for which the manufacturer cannot be held liable. If, in sp<strong>it</strong>e of this, childr<strong>en</strong> are allowed to use the equipm<strong>en</strong>t, <strong>en</strong>sure that they are instructed in <strong>it</strong>s proper use and supervised accordingly. ■ Before beginning your first training s<strong>es</strong>sion, familiarize yourself thoroughly w<strong>it</strong>h all the functions and settings of the un<strong>it</strong>. ■ Wh<strong>en</strong> choosing a <strong>pl</strong>ace for the equipm<strong>en</strong>t <strong>pl</strong>ease <strong>en</strong>sure that the floor can w<strong>it</strong>hstand the add<strong>it</strong>ional weight/load. Goods may o<strong>nl</strong>y be returned after prior arrangem<strong>en</strong>t and in (internal) packaging, which is safe for transportation, in the original box if possible. It is important to provide a detailed defect d<strong>es</strong>cri<strong>pt</strong>ion / <strong>da</strong>mage report! Important: spare part pric<strong>es</strong> do not include fast<strong>en</strong>ing material; if fast<strong>en</strong>ing material (bolts, nuts, washers etc.) is required, this should be clearly stated on the order by adding the words „w<strong>it</strong>h fast<strong>en</strong>ing material“. Care and maint<strong>en</strong>ance ■ Basically this equipm<strong>en</strong>t do<strong>es</strong> not need any special maint<strong>en</strong>ance. ■ Damaged compon<strong>en</strong>ts may <strong>en</strong><strong>da</strong>nger your safety or reduce the lifetime of the equipm<strong>en</strong>t. For this reason, worn or <strong>da</strong>maged parts should be re<strong>pl</strong>aced immediately and the equipm<strong>en</strong>t tak<strong>en</strong> out of use until this has be<strong>en</strong> done. Use o<strong>nl</strong>y original KETTLER spare parts. ■ To <strong>en</strong>sure that the safety level is ke<strong>pt</strong> to the high<strong>es</strong>t possible stan<strong>da</strong>rd, determined by <strong>it</strong>s construction, this product should be serviced regulary (once a year) by specialist retailers. ■ Use for your regular cleaning, maint<strong>en</strong>ance and care our ap<strong>pl</strong>iance maint<strong>en</strong>ance set (Article no. 07921-000) specifically lic<strong>en</strong>sed for KETTLER Sports apparatus and available <strong>fr</strong>om the Sport specialized trade. Waste Disposal KETTLER products are recyclable. At the <strong>en</strong>d of <strong>it</strong>s useful life <strong>pl</strong>ease dispose of this article correctly and safely (local refuse s<strong>it</strong><strong>es</strong>).
