Rare and precious handbook of the Cultural Revolution conducted by Mao Zedong in 1966.<br />

After the first 10 pages presenting the basic precepts of the Cultural Revolution there is a reproduction of<br />

the poster produced by Mao on the 5 th of august 1966 and entitled “Bombard the head-quarters”.<br />

Then the volume follows with the “Decision of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party<br />

concerning the great proletarian Cultural Revolution. Adopted on August 8, 1966”. This decision in 16 points<br />

gives a summary of the main guidelines to follow to succeed in the Cultural Revolution.<br />

Two other texts are bound at the end of the volume: Chairman Mao’s Poems, and a bilingual dictionary of<br />

the Cultural Revolution in English and Chinese. This lexicon contains some expressions such as: « to take<br />

the initiative instead of being passive », « to turn the whole country into a big red school of Mao Tse-Tung’s<br />

A good copy of this rare manual of the Cultural Revolution, an interesting evidence of the policy followed<br />
