castral formé de trois Donjons et d’un rempart flanqué de<br />
quinze tours domine la ville.<br />
Découvrez la place forte édifiée par les premiers ducs de<br />
<strong>Normandie</strong>, renforcée par les descendants de Guillaume le<br />
Conquérant et achevée par le roi de France, Philippe II<br />
Auguste. Rencontrez les grandes figures qui ont façonné<br />
l’histoire du domaine anglo-normand, écoutez les faits<br />
marquants de leurs aventures et la place que le château y<br />
a tenue. Les projections de films, le mobilier mis en scène<br />
et la restitution des intérieurs sur tablettes tactiles dévoilent<br />
la réalité du château des 12 e et 13 e siècles.<br />

The château reveals its new look in 2013!<br />
Now that the restoration work is complete, this remarkable<br />
fortress with its three keeps and a rampart incorporating<br />
15 towers looks proudly down on the town.<br />
Come and explore this stronghold built by the first Dukes of<br />
Normandy, further fortified by William the Conqueror’s<br />
descendants, and completed by King Philippe Auguste.<br />
Meet the great figures who shaped the history of the<br />
Anglo-Norman realm, hear about their key exploits and the<br />
role that the castle played. Films, historical tableaux,<br />
recreations of entire rooms on touch screens, all give a<br />
sense of life in a castle in the 12th and 13th centuries. Now<br />
a more intense, richer and more immersive experience of<br />
Falaise Castle in the days of the Dukes of Normandy and<br />
the Kings of England.<br />
New in 2013: Film shown in the rampart towers. Historical<br />
Binoculars. Furnished settings, enhanced reality touch<br />
pads, copies of 12th century furniture.<br />

architecture, sa restauration. A l’aide de la tablette<br />
tactile, vous découvrirez notamment les intérieurs<br />
des 12 e et 13 e siècle du château de Falaise.<br />
• Possibilité de visite en tout autonomie. Un guide<br />
sera remis au responsable du groupe qui pourra<br />
ainsi mener la visite à son rythme.<br />

• Visit the château with a guide who will talk about<br />
the site’s history, architecture and restoration. In<br />
particular, you will discover the 12th & 13th century<br />
interiors of the château, with the help of touch<br />

group around at its own pace, using specific<br />
interpretation.<br />
