ENSIFERUM<br />
Bienvenue au Valhalla<br />

Sous le toit du Grand Hall Viking qu’est<br />
l’Impérial Bell m’attendait un véritable party<br />
metal en ce 8 janvier enneigé. Comme l’indique<br />
la marquise, c’est le groupe Ensiferum qui<br />
en sera la vedette, lui qui en était à la 4 e date<br />
de sa tournée nordaméricaine.<br />
Les virtuoses du Folk Metal étaient visiblement<br />
attendus du public québécois. Normal<br />
puisque leur dernière visite remontait déjà à<br />
2016. C’est donc avec fougue que la foule a<br />
entonné les chansons du groupe, et ce, dès<br />
les premières notes du populaire titre Twilight<br />
Tavern. Soulignons que cette communion fut<br />
célébrée tout au long du spectacle, autant par<br />
les fans que par les musiciens, visiblement en<br />
grande forme.<br />
Les Finlandais s’en sont donné à cœur joie en<br />
lançant au passage quelques extraits de leur<br />
dernier album Two Paths, ainsi que leurs succès<br />
plus connus des amateurs; citons Lai Lai Hei, In<br />
My Sword I Trust et Iron en exemple.<br />
Notons la performance hautement théâtrale<br />
de Septicflesh en première partie. Aussi à l’affiche,<br />
Arsis et Archseraph ont accompli leur<br />
mission sans accroc majeur.<br />
Encore une fois, c’est une superbe soirée festive<br />
qui nous a été offerte par l’Impérial Bell et<br />
District7. Rendezvous au prochain spectacle !<br />
Welcome to Valhalla<br />
Under the roof of the Great Viking Hall, known<br />
as Imperial Bell, awaited me a real metal music<br />
party on this snowy January 8 th . As the awning<br />
indicates, the group Ensiferum will be the<br />
star of the evening, and was on the 4 th date of<br />
its North American tour.<br />
The Folk Metal virtuosos were obviously expected<br />
by the Quebec public. That’s normal,<br />
since their last visit was in 2016. The crowd<br />
sang the band’s songs with enthusiasm from<br />
the very first notes of the popular song Twilight<br />
Tavern. It should be noted that this communion<br />
was celebrated throughout the show,<br />
both by the fans and the musicians, obviously<br />
full of energy.<br />
The Finns had a field day with the release of<br />
a few excerpts from their latest album, Two<br />
Paths, in addition to their best-known hits; Lai<br />
Lai Hei, In My Sword I Trust and Iron.<br />
Also note the highly theatrical performance<br />
of Septicflesh in the first part of the show.<br />
Also on the evening’s programme, Arsis and<br />
Archseraph accomplished their mission without<br />
any major problems.<br />
Once again, it was a great festive evening<br />
hosted by Imperial Bell and District 7. See you<br />
