La Collezione
Il popolo Sami, più conosciuti sotto il
nome di Lapponi, abita l'estremo nord
della penisola scandinava e, oltre a
essere l'unica popolazione nativa in
Europa (in Lapponia vi sono tracce di
insediamenti Sami risalenti all'Era
Glaciale, circa 9600 anni fa),
numericamente è tra le più esigue nel
mondo, contando non più di 75.000
unità, di cui circa 20.000 vivono in
Svezia.
Essere un “lappone” significava essere
una persona che praticava
l'allevamento delle renne, la pesca e la
caccia.
La pastorizia è considerata oggi la più
importante risorsa su cui si regge la
tradizionale cultura Sami.
Sebbene la popolazione Sami non sia
costituita in uno Stato indipendente,
la sua politica corrente ed ufficiale è
stata adottata nel 1963, anno dal quale
ha inizio il cammino del popolo Sami
verso l'affermazione dei propri diritti:
dopo aver conquistato il diritto alla
scelta del lappone come lingua
d'istruzione, oggi possiede un proprio
organo rappresentativo, il Parlamento
Sami, una propria capitale, Karasjok,
ed una propria bandiera.

Caratteristiche tecniche
Cappuccio e corpo
Sono realizzati in resina speciale di
colore blu, tornita a mano da barra
piena, intervallata da anelli in resina
multicolore.
Tutte le penne della collezione recano
sia sul fusto che sul cappuccio una
vera in argento massiccio 925‰ incisa
a rilievo con decori tipici
dell'abbigliamento del popolo Sami, in
vermeil per la versione 1KS ed in
argento brunito per le versioni 1K e
R/2, in oro 18 Kt. nella versione
Celebration.
All'estremità del cappuccio è apposto
un disco brunito e/o dorato a seconda
della versione, recante un’icona
rappresentativa del Parlamento Sami
coniata ad altorilievo.
Sistema di caricamento
Le versioni Celebration e 1KS offrono
il tradizionale sistema di riempimento
d'inchiostro a leva laterale, apprezzato
da collezionisti ed appassionati in tutto
il mondo. Per la versione Limited sono
previsti cartucce e convertitore a vite.
Clip
Forgiata in argento massiccio 925‰
vermeil (1KS) e brunito (1K - R2) con
smalti a pareggio riproduce, in un gioco
di colori e disegni, la bandiera Sami.
Un prezioso diamante in taglio brillante
arricchisce la clip, in vermeil, della
versione Celebration.
Pennino
In oro 18 Kt, rodiato, personalizzato,
elastico e flessibile. Reca inciso il
simbolo del popolo delle renne, ed è
disponibile nelle gradazioni: EEF, EF, F,
M, B, BB, OM, OB, OBB e STUB.

The Collection
The Sami people more known as the Lap
(Lapp) inhabit the extreme north of the
Scandinavian Peninsula and, besides
being the only native population in
Europe (in Lapland there are traces of
Sami going back to the Ice Age,
approximately 9600 years ago) is one of
the scarcest. Today, the total number of
Sami is estimated to be about 75,000,
20,000 of which live in Sweden.
To be "Lapp" meant to be a person that
practiced the breeding of reindeer, fished
and hunted. The pastures are considered
today the more important resource on
which the traditional culture stands.
For centuries the majority population
has had a patronizing attitude towards
the Sami, which has affected cultural
policy and politics. The current and
official policy was adopted in 1963 and
is expressed in the Parliamentary Records
as follows:
"The policy of the national state must
be to give the Sami-speaking population
the opportunity to preserve its language
and other cultural customs on terms
that accord with the expressed wishes
of the Sami themselves."
Although the Sami population is not
constituted in an independent state, it
possesses a representative body, the Sami
Parliament, a capital, Karasjok, and their
own flag.

The Limited Edition comprises both 1963
fountain pens (1K) and roller balls (R/2)
in 925‰ sterling silver. The roller ball
version is easily convertible into ball pen.

Technical characteristics
Cap and body
Hand turned from solid bars of a blue
resin interweaved with rings in resin of
various other colors. All versions in this
collection offer in the extremity of both
the body and cap a three-dimensional
ring decorated with typical designs used
in Sami's garments. Depending on
version is in either in 18 kt solid gold
(celebration), Vermeil (1ks) or antiquate
silver (1k and R/2) . In the cap the
capuchon offers a medal engraved with
the symbol of the Sami parliament.
Filling system
The celebration and the 1KS versions
offer the most traditional filling system,
the lateral lever filling system, widely
appreciated by collectors and pen
connoisseurs. In the 1k version the filling
system is by converter or threaded
cartridge.
Clip
Offers a three-dimensional
representation of the Sami flag in a
color-scheme achieved with enamel and
is in 925‰ Solid Sterling Silver in the
1K and the R/2 versions. The Celebration
and 1KS versions offer the same clip in
Vermeil. In addition the celebration
version is enriched with a precious
diamond.
Nib
The 18-karat solid gold nib is specially
designed, customized and flexible. It is
engraved with a depiction of the reindeer
people's symbol. Is available in EEF, EF,
F, M, B, BB, OM, OB, OBB and STUB
grades.
