The European Day of Jewish Culture is being
organized for the 4th time in Istanbul, at a
historical Jewish location, the GALATA region,
which used to be a major residential area for local
Jewry in the 19th and 20th centuries.
During the day, the 500th Year Foundation Jewish
Museum of Turkey, the Ashkenazi Synagogue, the
Italian Synagogue,The Ottoman Bank Museum and
the Schneidertempel Arts Center will be opened
for events and visiting.
From 11:00 am till midnight, concerts,
performances, exhibitions and a conference will be
held in these authentic places.
During the day four restaurants in Galata will be
serving selected dishes from Sephardic and
Ashkenazi cuisines in addition to their daily menus.

During the holiday, there will also be the
presentation of the book "Jewish cuisine" in the
informational agency "Ukrinform".
This book was published by the Jewish Foundation
of Ukraine.

in the Children Musical Theater
On the 4th of September, it is planned to open the
5th International theatre festival "Wandering
stars".
In this festival, the collectives from Israel, USA,
Poland, Russia and Ukraine will take part.
The spectacles will be from 4 till 7 o'clock in the
