CHECKS AND MAINTENANCE<br />

Bleeding the front brake<br />

Follow these steps to bleed the front<br />

brake circuit:<br />

• Remove rubber cap A from valve B.<br />

• Remove the oil reservoir cap C.<br />

• Insert one end of a small tube into<br />

valve B and place the other end in a<br />

container.<br />

• Unscrew valve B (while pulling the lever)<br />

and then pump by repeatedly actuating<br />

the brake lever until oil starts fl owing<br />

out continuously with no air bubbles.<br />

During this operation, it is important<br />

that the lever should not be released<br />

completely and that the brake pump<br />

reservoir should be continuously refi lled<br />

to make up for the oil that is fl owing out.<br />

• Tighten the valve and extract the tube.<br />

• Replace the cap in gomma A.<br />

Bleeding the rear brake<br />

Follow these steps to bleed the rear brake<br />

circuit:<br />

• Remove rubber cap D.<br />

• Remove the oil reservoir cap E.<br />

• Insert one end of a small tube into valve<br />

F and place the other end in a container.<br />

• Unscrew valve F (while pulling the lever)<br />

and then pump by repeatedly actuating<br />

the brake lever until oil starts fl owing<br />

out continuously with no air bubbles.<br />

During this operation, it is important<br />

that the lever should not be released<br />

completely and that the brake pump<br />

reservoir should be continuously refi lled<br />

to make up for the oil that is fl owing out.<br />

• Tighten the valve and extract the tube.<br />

• Replace the cap.<br />
