REPLACING THE BRAKE PADS<br />

The procedure for replacing the brake<br />

pads is provided only for information.<br />

We recommend having the operation<br />

performed by a BETAMOTOR authorized<br />

workshop.<br />

Front brake<br />

To replace the front pads, proceed as<br />

follows:<br />

• Loosen the two screws A and remove<br />

the brake caliper.<br />

• Unscrew the two screws B .<br />

Note: Screws B are secured very<br />

tightly and should be loosened before<br />

removing the caliper from the fork.<br />

•Extract the brake pads.<br />

•To refi t the parts, follow the reverse<br />

procedure.<br />

Ensure that the spring D shown in the<br />

fi gure is properly seated by checking that<br />

it offers some resistance to the insertion<br />

of the brake pads.<br />

To avoid braking problems, take special<br />

care in ensuring that the screws are refi t-<br />

ted properly.<br />

Whenever the brake disc is removed,<br />

apply Loctite to the screws when refi tting<br />

Note: When removing the brake caliper,<br />

take care not to damage reed C,<br />

as it is extremely fragile.<br />
