To have access to the fi lter unit A, remove<br />

the saddle, as described in “Removal of<br />

body parts” on page 58.<br />

• Remove the cover B by loosening the<br />

screw C.<br />

• Lift the battery holder, as shown in the<br />

fi gure,<br />

• Release the fi lter holder D.<br />

• Remove the fi lter unit A.<br />

• Pull out the holder D and take out the<br />

sponge fi lter.<br />

• Wash it with soap and water.<br />

• Dry the fi lter.<br />

•Wet the fi lter with fi lter oil. Remove any<br />

excess lubricant to prevent it from dripping.<br />

• If necessary, also clean the inside of the fi lter<br />

casing.<br />

• Refi t the parts, making sure of the seal of the<br />

rubber gasket.<br />

Note:<br />

If the fi lter is very dirty, fi rst wash it with a<br />

special detergent and then with water and<br />

shampoo.<br />

If the fi lter is damaged, immediately replace<br />

it.<br />

Clean the fi lter every time the vehicle is<br />

used off road.<br />

After working on the fi lter, ensure that nothing<br />

is left inside the fi lter casing.<br />
