EUROSERVICE: A FULL TRANSPORT SERVICE<br />
Euroservice Spa is a Naples company which offers<br />
services connected with road transport and shipping<br />
by land, sea and air in Italy and abroad. After an<br />
internal reorganisation, strengthening of its work force,<br />
continuous training of staff and a careful selection of<br />
suppliers today Euroservice is more than ever able to<br />
offer new services to road transporters and shipping<br />
specialists. The prime object of Euroservice Spa’s policy<br />
is to give customer satisfaction in accordance with<br />
contracts, law and industry regulations.<br />
Managing director Roberto Anatrella told <strong>Porto</strong>&<strong>diporto</strong><br />
how his company became a Group of four companies.<br />
“Euroservice Spa concerns itself with shipping and<br />
transport whereas Eusena looks after services for road<br />
transporters including motorways, VAT repayments,<br />
tunnels, ferry bookings and all that is required for<br />
travelling in Europe. We have sales offices in Frosinone<br />
for the Centre/South of Italy and Cesena for the North”.<br />
Which services do road transporters ask for?<br />
We supply all the necessary services so that the<br />
businessman has only to hand the keys to the driver. We<br />
think of everything with reciprocal benefit because we<br />
are able to find better prices thanks to our volume.<br />
How does the future look for your sector?<br />
Transport is picking up and this leads to modest<br />
optimism and therefore new initiatives like Eusena which<br />
separates our business in two and permits us to bring in<br />

“Euroservice Spa resta spedizioni e<br />
trasporti internazionali e nazionali mentre<br />
Eusena si occuperà di tutta la parte<br />
dei servizi per gli autotrasportatori,<br />
che sono autostrade, trafori, rimborso<br />
iva, prenotazioni traghetti e tutto quello<br />
che serve al trasportatore per poter<br />
circolare in Europa; abbiamo aperto un<br />
ufficio commerciale a Frosinone e uno<br />
a Cesena, quest’ultimo curerà la clientela<br />
del Nord Italia mentre Frosinone si<br />
occuperà del Centro-Sud”.<br />
Quali servizi richiede l’autotraspotatore?<br />
Possiamo dare tutti i servizi affinché<br />
l’imprenditore possa dare all’autista<br />
solo la chiave dell’automezzo, a tutto il<br />
resto pensiamo noi, con reciproca convenienza<br />
in quanto siamo in grado di<br />
offrire tariffe dei servizi più vantaggiose<br />
rispetto al singolo acquirente perchè<br />
siamo come un gruppo d’acquisto in<br />
grado di contrattare i vari servizi grazie<br />
alla capacità di fare grandi numeri.<br />
Quali sono le prospettive del set-<br />

operated only in Lazio, Campania, Puglia and Abruzzo.<br />
The new company set up together with an important<br />
capital increase will pave the way for new initiatives<br />
which up till now we could not take. We are about to enter<br />
into an agreement with Grimaldi Naples to take us back<br />
into ro-ro after some years absence.<br />
How long has Euroservice been operating in Naples?<br />
The company exists since 1987 and next year we celebrate<br />
our 25 th anniversary. It began with services and expanded<br />
into transport and shipping. Today’s market needs<br />
have changed and to be more incisive in our services<br />
we decided to split the business in two in order for<br />
transport to grow and develop autonomously. The other<br />
company with its new shareholders will cover the whole<br />
of Italy. Currently Eusena is supported by the Esunion<br />
consortium and Hens Spa. Esunion manages motorway<br />
tickets by putting together groups of transporters to<br />
take advantage of the group discounts permitted by law.<br />
Hens Spa is an insurance broker which makes insurance<br />
programmes to fit all business needs.<br />
Currently how is the market?<br />
Our company has noted an increase in exports permitting<br />
us to speak with modest optimism. Cost increases and<br />
continual tariff reductions caused by Eastern European<br />
competition are worrying. The cost of an Italian driver is<br />
ten times that of a Rumanian.
