energetiche, nella gestione degli aspetti ambientali,
e nei moderni approcci alla gestione
delle risorse umane, gli elementi di competitività
su cui giocare la sfida sui mercati globali.
IL RIUTILIZZO DI ROTTAMI COME MATERIA
PRIMA SECONDA: UN TREND IN CRESCITA
Stando ai dati di settore raccolti da Assofond
su un campione di imprese rappresentativo
del 37% della produzione totale di getti in
Italia in occasione della redazione dell’ultimo
Rapporto di sostenibilità del settore, negli ultimi
anni si è registrato un ulteriore incremento
dell’utilizzo di materie prime seconde nella
carica dei forni fusori, dopo che notevoli passi
avanti erano già stati fatti fin dagli ultimi anni
del secolo scorso.
Nelle fonderie produttrici di getti ferrosi, la
quota di materiali di recupero utilizzati si attesta,
a seconda del tipo di forno fusorio utilizzato
(che, in alcuni casi, pone dei limiti tecnici
all’utilizzo di rottami e di materiali di recupero),
fra il 48% di chi utilizza forni rotativi e il 74% di
chi utilizza forni cubilotto, dato quest’ultimo di
poco superiore a chi invece utilizza forni eletand

It’s an evolutionary path which, since the
1980s-’90s concept of sustainable economy,
has seen foundries grow in the knowledge that
the future of the sector was more and more
linked to new economic visions and approaches
that see in energy policies, in the management
of environmental aspects and in modern
approaches to human resource management,
the elements of competitiveness on which to
play the challenge on global markets.
REUSE OF SCRAP AS SECONDARY RAW
MATERIALS: AN UPWARD TREND
According to sector data collected by Assofond
on a sample of companies representing
37% of the total production of castings in Italy
for the drafting of the latest sector Sustainability
report, in recent years there has been a
further increase in the use of secondary raw
materials for charging furnaces, after considerable
steps forward had already been taken
up to the final years of the last century.
