Todo esto nos convertía a los musulmanes en una minoría desprotegida y vulnerable. Ni siquiera la ley nos
ampara, porque todo acto islamófobo se justifica en Europa con la libertad de expresión.
La islamofobia, para quien no lo sepa, es una discriminación legal en España: Las noticias hablan diariamente
de “Terrorismo islamista”, vinculan la fe y la doctrina islámicas con el fanatismo, muestran a una mujer con
hiyab como una persona oprimida, abrir una mezquita es una misión imposible, las asociaciones islámicas
son culpables y están controladas hasta que demuestren su inocencia, ha habido detenciones ilegales bajo la
bandera de “La guerra contra el terrorismo”, los derechos reconocidos para musulmanes no se cumplen.. etc
Así lo confirman los estudios y las estadísticas:
Según un estudio del Pew Center de octubre del año 2008, España es el país de Europa cuyos ciudadanos
tienen en mayor número una opinión negativa sobre el islam.
Un sondeo del Instituto Elcano tras el 11-M afirmaba que un 80% de los españoles califican a los
musulmanes como «autoritarios» y un 57% como «violentos», y el 20% son partidarios de la
expulsión de los marroquíes de España.
Según el informe anual para 2007 de la ODIHR (Oficina para los Derechos Humanos de la OSCE), titulado
Crímenes de odio en la región de la OSCE: incidentes y respuestas: “Durante el 2007, el odio y la intolerancia
hacia los musulmanes se expresó a través de violentas agresiones físicas contra personas; incendios
provocados y vandalismo contra mezquitas, escuelas islámicas y cementerios; acoso verbal y amenazas,
y la petición de que los musulmanes sean deportados o expulsados de Europa. Individuos identificables
visualmente como musulmanes, como las mujeres musulmanas con velo y los imanes usando vestimenta
religiosa, así como las mezquitas, centros islámicos y las escuelas musulmanas, fueron los principales
objetivos de los ataques antimusulmanes en toda la región de la OSCE en 2007. Además, 2007 fue testigo
de la aparición de organizaciones de base y de redes paneuropeas que han manifestado su rechazo de la
presencia de los musulmanes y su cultura en Europa através de diversas protestas, en particular centrándose
en la construcción de mezquitas.”
El 11-S, 11-M, 7-J o un atentado terrorista en Afganistán, en la India o en Nigeria, es un motivo suficiente

All of this made us, Muslims, into an unprotected and vulnerable minority. Not even the law protects us
because every islamophobic act is justified in Europe with the freedom of expression.
Islamophobia, for those unaware, is a legal discrimination in Spain: the news talk about “islamist terrorism”
daily and link Islamic doctrine and faith with fanaticism, and they show a woman with Hiyab as an oppressed
person; opening a mosque is an impossible mission; Islamic associations are considered guilty and are
controlled until their innocence is proven; there have been illegal detentions in the name of the “war against
terrorism”; recognized rights for Muslims are not complied…etc.
This is confirmed by studies and statistics:

to be deported or expelled from Europe. Individuals visually identifiable as Muslims, such as the Muslim
women wearing the veil or the Imams wearing their religious outfits, and mosques, Islamic centres and
Muslim schools were the main targets of anti-Muslim attacks throughout the OSCE region. Also, 2007 testified
the emergence of grassroots organizations and pan-European networks that have expressed their rejection
over the presence of Muslims and their culture in Europe through different protests, focusing particularly
on the construction of mosques.”
The September 11, March 11, July 7 or a terrorist attack in Afghanistan, India or Nigeria, is enough reason
