Structural configuration of the area is presented, where regional features
such as the Ferrer-Urbano Santos Arch and the Paleozoic formations
homoclinal feature stand out.
Main mineral occurrences reported are gold, bauxite, limestone, amethist and
potassium salts.
Because of the sharp definition of features, and the out-standing collective
visualization permitted, it is concluded that radar imagery is indispensable
for regional geological mapping.
Detailed studies are recommended for the rocks of the Gurupi Group,
particularly of the intrusive bodies therein, as well as quantification studies
of the potash salt deposits of Lago Sobradinho.
