FOTON? 3 "Cordilheiras de Dunas". Fotha de Sa"o Lufs. Cordilheiras de dunas do tipo"barkanas", para Ie las entre si. Aspecto tfpico dos "Lencóis Maranhenses". Separando as cordilheiras, aparecem areas de represamento de mare que filtra pelas areias. Nessas areas de represamento näo hâ desenvolvimento de vegetaçao. Os "rides" säo visiveis na duna do primeiro piano. FOTO N9 4 Fixacao de dunas. Folha de Sao Luis. Zona de contato da cobertura arenosa com a vegetaçâo de cocais e outras associaçoes na superficie sublitorânea de Barreirinhas. As dunas, logo apôs sua formaçào, sào colonizadas. A forma individual de "barkanas" é transformada em "Cordilheiras de dunas" decorrentes das mudanças de direçâo do vento. O "stom beach" esta bem marcado entre as dunas do primeiro piano e a vegetaçâo densa.
