e minha prioridade. Comecei minha carreira aos sete
anos fazendo teatro em São Paulo. Fiz o curso do beto
Graças a deus meus pais sempre me apoiaram. Sem esse
apoio jamais teria conseguido me dedicar à carreira,
A profissão
Have you always wanted to be an actress or did you ever
think about having another profession?
Always! When I was little, I put on skits and the whole
family was forced to watch. Acting has always been a passion
and my priority. I started my career at seven, doing
theater in São Paulo. I took the Beto Silveira course, and
joined an agency and did many commercials. Hence the
test for Chiquititas, since then I haven’t stopped.
Your role in the soap Chiquititas, in 1999, was your first
role on TV. What was it like participating in a project
where you needed to move to another Country?
Thank God my parents always supported me. Without
such support, I would never have been able to devote
myself to the career, because, as I began very young, I
was required to have an escort for any job. My mother
gave up her career to live with me in Argentina.
Looking back, do you regret having started in the profession
so young? Do you think you lost your childhood
by working so early?
On the contrary. I think I took advantage of my childhood
and I was lucky to find what I wanted so young. I managed
to start and carry on with my career. I played as a kid a
lot, I was very much a child, but I gave up playing for a
text and a studio. The profession came into my life very
naturally; I never felt it was a job or a sacrifice. I have
always been eager to tape.
Since your first soap on Rede Globo, you have been
constantly cast in other roles. To what do you credit
that success?
Our career is very unstable. In the same way that, sometimes,
work comes one right after another, sometimes, we
have a little time off. I think it’s funny that people start
to keep reminding you when you spend time off the air.
You have always taken on the squeaky-clean roles. Would
you like to play the villain?
Always? In Chiquititas I was a little devil and I loved it.
So I’ve been told that I look like a good girl, but what I
really want is to play a villain, one of those who deceives
everyone and looks like the good guy just for show.
Meus pais sempre me apoiaram. Sem esse
apoio jamais teria conseguido me dedicar à
carreira
