Soroprevalência de Hepatite B em Crianças:
Uma Revisão Integrativa
RESUMO
Introdução: A infecção pelo HBV é a décima principal causa de morte
em todo o mundo, sendo a maioria das infecções mais frequentes em
crianças das áreas endêmicas. As chances de adquirir a forma crônica são
variáveis conforme a faixa etária. OBJETIVO: discutir, com base na literatura,
sobre a prevalência de Hepatite B em crianças no mundo. METODO-
LOGIA: A presente pesquisa trata-se de uma revisão integrativa, realizada
durante os meses de novembro e dezembro de 2018 na base de dados
Pubmed, através dos descritores: "Prevalence", "Hepatitis B", "child". Foram
utilizados os filtros: artigos publicados nos anos 2014 a 2019, disponíveis,
de forma gratuita, nos idiomas inglês e português e em crianças
de até 18 anos. Em seguida, aplicados os critérios de inclusão e exclusão.
Os trabalhos selecionados foram averiguados conforme as informações
contidas nos resumos e na leitura íntegra de cada um. RESULTADOS: Foi
selecionado um total de 15 artigos. Estes foram inseridos em uma tabela
(Tabela 1) a fim de compará-los. As principais informações foram anexadas
no quadro como: Titulo do da pesquisa, autor, ano, periódico, objetivo
e resultados em relação a presença do marcador pesquisado. DISCUSSÃO:
Muitos dos estudos sobre Hepatite B ainda concentram-se em grupos
específicos e por isso, não existindo um inquérito global preciso, embora
as pesquisas realizadas nos últimos anos divida o mundo em diferentes
faixas de prevalências. A idade em que é adquirida é um dos principais
fatores que influencia nas variações da infecção. O HBV ainda é o maior
causador de morte por câncer hepático, assim, existe a necessidade de
mais estudos para a detecção do vírus. CONCLUSÃO: Este estudo descreve
a epidemiologia e variação de prevalências de infecção por HBV
em algumas regiões do mundo. Esse tipo de pesquisa é imprescindível
para estimar a situação atual de hepatite B, e para avaliar o impacto das
políticas de imunização.
ABSTRACT
Introduction: HBV infection is the tenth leading cause of death
worldwide, and most infections are more common in children in
endemic areas. The chances of acquiring the chronic form vary according
to age group. OBJECTIVE: To discuss, based on the literature,
the prevalence of hepatitis B in children worldwide. METHODOLOGY:
This research is an integrative review, conducted in November and
December 2018 in the Pubmed database, using the keywords: "Prevalence",
"Hepatitis B", "Child". We use the filters: articles published
from 2014 to 2019, available for free in the English and Portuguese
languages and in children under 18 years. It then applied the inclusion
and exclusion criteria. The selected works were verified according
to the information contained in the abstracts and the complete
reading of each one. RESULTS: We selected 15 articles. These were
entered into a table (Table 1) to compare them. The main information
was attached in the table as: Research title, author, year, journal,
objective and results regarding the presence of the researched
marker. DISCUSSION: Many of the hepatitis B studies still focus on
specific groups, so there is no precise global research, although research
in recent years has divided the world into different prevalence
ranges. The age at which it is acquired is one of the main factors that
influence the variations of the infection. HBV is still the leading cause
of death from liver cancer, so more studies are needed to detect
the virus. CONCLUSION: This study describes the epidemiology and
prevalence of HBV infection in some regions of the world. This type
of research is essential for estimating the current status of hepatitis
B and assessing the impact of immunization policies.
