>> Quais as ações de combate a incêndios florestais no Mato
Grosso?
O Governo do Estado quadruplicou os investimentos em tecnologia
e estratégias para a prevenção e combate ao fogo nos
últimos 3 anos. O plano para o combate ao desmatamento
ilegal e incêndios florestais de 2023 previu recursos da ordem
de R$ 78 milhões. Para as ações de combate aos incêndios florestais
o recurso é de R$ 40 milhões.
>> Qual a importância do SISFLORA para a preservação da
floresta?
O novo SISFLORA 2.0 fez com que Mato Grosso fosse o primeiro
Estado a ter a cadeia de custódia e a rastreabilidade efetiva
da madeira. Com isso, temos maior controle e monitoramento
do produto florestal, transparência das informações e a garantia
da legalidade do produto. Estamos fortalecendo a atividade
do manejo florestal sustentável, que mantém a floresta em
pé, e garantindo renda e dignidade social para aqueles que
executam o manejo. E isso tem um impacto muito grande em
Mato Grosso, pois, fomentando essa atividade, conseguimos
manter a floresta conservada. A nossa meta inclusive é ampliar
a área sob manejo florestal sustentável, alcançando 6 milhões
de hectares até 2030.
>> E sobre o legado de sua gestão?
O nosso trabalho na Sema (MT) é concentrado em três pilares:
a efetiva eficiência do órgão na prestação de serviços à sociedade,
a manutenção dos recursos naturais e a preservação
das nossas unidades de conservação, sem esquecer de incluir
as pessoas nas soluções aplicadas. O legado é fazer com que
a percepção da sociedade seja a de que o órgão ambiental
executa com eficiência a sua missão de proteção dos recursos
naturais ao mesmo tempo em que garante o seu uso racional,
conduzindo de forma rápida e transparente o licenciamento
ambiental e a regularização dos imóveis rurais, bem como, o
combate forte aos ilícitos ambientais, não permitindo que a
transgressão dos crimes corrompa a cadeia virtuosa da produção
sustentável no Estado.

What is the importance of Sisflora for the preservation of
the forest?
The new Sisflora 2.0 led Mato Grosso to become the first state
to create the chain of custody and effective traceability of timber
produced in the State. With this, we have greater control
and monitoring of the forest product, transparency of information,
and the guarantee of the legality of the product. We
are strengthening the activity of sustainable forest management,
which keeps the forest standing, ensuring income and
social dignity for those who carry out Management. And this
has a significant impact in Mato Grosso because by promoting
this activity, we are able to conserve the forest. Our goal is to
expand the area under Sustainable Forest Management to 6
million hectares by 2030.
What about the legacy of your term as Secretary of Sema?
The work at Sema (MT) is focused on three pillars: the effective
efficiency of the Agency in providing services to society,
the maintenance of natural resources, and the preservation of
our Conservation Units, without forgetting to include people
in the solutions applied. The legacy is to ensure that society’s
perception is that the Environmental Agency efficiently
executes its mission of protecting natural resources while
ensuring their rational use, conducting in a fast and transparent
manner the environmental licensing and regularization of
rural properties, as well as the vigorous fight against ecological
crimes not allowing the transgression of crimes to corrupt
the virtuous chain of sustainable production in the State.
