Romanian communities – a spiritual itinerary.
The Days of the National Library of Romania.
6 th edition, December 2003
The National Library of Romania (NLR) together with the
Department for the Romanian Communities of the Romanian
Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized, on the 11th and 12th of
December 2003, at the headquarters of the NLR, the 6 th edition
of the Days of the National Library of Romania with the theme
Romanian communities – a spiritual itinerary. The
programme included: - the inauguration of the Romanians from
everywhere Reading room dedicated to the Romanian literary
and scientific works from abroad (donated by the Romanian
Ministry of Foreign Affairs); - the varnishing of the exibition
Creation of the Romanians from everywhere in the Romanian
National Library’s collections;- the varnishing of the exibition
Donation of Academician Virgil Cândea in the Romanian
National Library’s collections but also workshops like:
Romanian communities outside the Romanian borders; -
The Romanian printing houses and the exile literature; - The
National Library of Romania and the Romanians from
everywhere. At the festivities attended some members of the
foreign embassies in Bucharest, romanian writers from diaspora,
librarians. Speeches were given by Mrs. Rodica Maiorescu
General Director of the National Library of Romania, Mr. Mircea
Geoana, Romanian Foreign Minister and Mr. Phillippe Étienne,
the Frech Embassador in Bucharest. The Ministry of Foreign
Affairs’s donation contains 1200 books of Romanian authors
living in Europe, United States and Australia donated by the
foreign embassies in Bucharest or by the authors themselves.
Some of the copies have the authors dedication to the NLR. The
donation made by Acad. Virgil Cândea contains some very
important works about the Romanians from outside the borders
and some books about the history of Romania published abroad.
During the 3 workshops papers were presented by Mr. Øerban
Stati, former Romanian Embassador in Rome, Prof. Dr. Ioan
Bulei, former Director of the Romanian Cultural Centre in
Venice, Mihai Dumitrescu, representing the Romanian
community from Vancouver, Mrs. Jenica Tabacu, coordinating
specialist in museography at the Hasdeu Museum from Câmpina,
Mrs. Doina Jelea – Humanitas Publishing House, Mrs. Denisa
Comånescu – Polirom Publishing House, Mr. Petru Romoøanu –
Compania Publishing House, Mrs. Mihaela Stanciu – National
Library of Romania, Mr. Emanuel Actarian - National Library of
Romania. As a documentary support for the reunion the NLR
organized the exibition Creation of the Romanians from
everywhere in the Romanian National Library’s collections
with rare works – books, photos, printed music, concert
programms – intended to contour the portraits of some
outstanding Romanian personalities from the Diaspora: Dimitrie
Cantemir, Dora d’Istria, Martha Bibescu, Elena Våcårescu, Iulia
Hasdeu, Prinõul Alexandre Bibesco, Prinõul S. Bibescu, George
Enescu, Constantin Brâncuøi, Emil Cioran, Mircea Eliade,
Eugen Ionescu.
The necessary marketing
With this new column, our review intends to reveal the presentday
phase of the marketing in the Romanian libraries and
librarianship schools and to show some examples of the way
marketing is used in Romanian and foreign libraries. In her
article, Tabita Chiriõå describes how the marketing rules are valid
also in the non-profit organizations – like the libraries-; that do
not sell but offer services to the community. The grouping
includes: the interview Marketing and Public Relations for the

Les Journées de la Bibliothèque Nationale de
Roumanie. 6ème édition. Décembre 2003
Le 11 et le 12 décembre 2003 se sont déroulés les Journées de la
Bibliothèque Nationale de Roumanie ayant pour sujet Les
communautés roumaines - un itinéraire spirituel, avec la
collaboration du Ministère des Affaires Etrangères - Le
Département pour les Roumains de l’étranger.
L’agenda a compris: - l’inauguration de La Salle des Roumains
de l’étranger dédiée à la création littéraire et scientifique
roumaine de l’étranger (la donation MAE); - le vernissage de
l’exposition La création des Roumains de partout dans les
collections de la Bibliothèque Nationale de Roumanie; - le
vernissage de l’exposition La donation de l’académicien Virgil
Cândea dans les collections de la Bibliothèque Nationale de
Roumanie et les séminaires: - Des communautés roumaines de
l’étranger; Les Maisons d’Édition roumaines et la littérature de
l’exile; - La Bibliothèque Nationale de Roumanie et les
Roumains de l’étranger.
Les représentants des ambassades étrangères à Bucarest, des
écrivains roumains de la diaspora, des bibliothécaires y ont été
présents. Mme Rodica Maiorescu, directeur général de BNR, M.
Mircea Geoană, ministre des affaires étrangères et Son Excellence
M. Philippe Étienne, ambassadeur de France à Bucarest, ont tenu
de brèves allocutions.
La donation de MAE comprend 1.200 livres des écrivains
roumains établis en Europe, Amérique et Australie offerts par les
ambassades étrangères à Bucarest ou par les auteurs eux-mêmes
certains exemplaires étant dédicacés à la Bibliothèque Nationale
de Roumanie. La donation de Virgil Cândea contient un important
fond de livres concernant la création des Roumains de l’étranger et
aussi une série d’œuvres édités à l’étranger ayant sujet l’histoire de
Roumanie. Au cours des trois séminaires les exposés ont été tenus
par: Øerban Stati, ex-ambassadeur de Roumanie à Rome, prof. dr.
Ion Bulei, ex-directeur du Centre Culturel Roumain de Venise,
Mihai Dumitrescu – représentant de la Communauté roumaine de
Vancouver, Jenica Tabacu – muséographe principal du Musée
Hasdeu – Câmpina, Denisa Comănescu – Les Éditions Polirom,
Mme Doina Jelea – Les Éditions Humanitas, M. Petru Romoşanu
– Les Éditions Compania, Mme Mihaela Stanciu – BNR, M.
Emanuel Actarian – BNR.
Dans l’exposition La création des Roumains de l’étranger dans
les collections de la Bibliothèque Nationale de Roumanie on a
été présentées des pièces de bibliophilie – des livres, des
photographies, des partitions, des programmes de concert etc. –
pour esquisser les portraits de quelques grandes personnalités de
la diaspora roumaine: Dimitrie Cantemir, Dora d’Istria, Marta
Bibescu, Elena Văcărescu, Iulia Hasdeu, Prince Alexandre
Bibesco, Prince S. Bibesco, George Enescu, Constantin Brâncuşi,
Emil Cioran, Mircea Eliade, Eugen Ionesco.
Le marketing nécessaire
Cette nouvelle rubrique se propose de présenter l’état actuel du
marketing dans les bibliothèques et les facultés de bibliologie de
Roumanie, et aussi des exemples d’application du marketing dans
les bibliothèques du pays et à l’étranger. Le chapeau signé par
Tabita Chiriţă parle de l’applicabilité des lois de marketing dans
les institutions non-profit – les bibliothèques, par exemple – qui
n’ont pas pour but la vente, mais les services rendus à la
communauté. Le groupage contient l’interview Marketing et
relations publiques pour les bibliothèques avec M. Ionel Enache,
lecteur dr. – La Chaire de Bibliologie et de Science de
