Increase in the R & D Culture will certainly increase the<br />
export accordingly<br />
Prof Dr Ömer Berk Berkalp, Dean of the Faculty, at the<br />
opening speeches on R & D Day, gave a speech to the<br />
participants on the research opportunities of the faculty<br />
and the research potentials of the faculty with the<br />
undergraduate and graduate programs. He added that<br />
they are open to university-industry cooperation with all<br />
R & D centres. Mr Ahmet Öksüz, President of the Istanbul<br />
Textile and Raw Materials Exporters’ Association (İTHİB),<br />
gave important information about the current export<br />
figures of the Turkey’s textile sector in his speech. Öksüz,<br />
emphasizing the importance of the textile sector for our<br />
economy, indicated that the Turkey’s export target is also<br />
depending on the university-industry collaboration for<br />
sure. And stressed that it is inevitable for the transformation<br />
of our industry. He stated that the R & D culture should<br />
be increased with the cooperation of universities in the<br />
sector and the importance of exportation and product<br />
added value with innovative and qualified products will<br />
increase at the same rate. After informing the industry<br />
representatives about the national R & D and Innovation<br />
Support Programs by ITU Technology Transfer Office, R &<br />
D centres, laboratory infrastructure and industrial services<br />
of the Faculty were introduced to the participants.<br />
Meeting of University with the Industry<br />
In the event, 40 scientific presentations were made during<br />
the day, as well as laboratory visits involving the present research<br />
capability of the faculty, as well as the introduction<br />
of the entire infrastructure, and a platform where academicians<br />
and R & D centre representatives could exchange<br />
their opinions about R & D issues. They also had a chance<br />
to discuss common project opportunities. Within the scope<br />
of the activity, it was aimed to create a common platform<br />
for faculty and industry cooperation and to provide<br />
sustainable project cooperation. Academicians and R &<br />
D centre representatives came together and exchanged<br />
their opinions. And it was stated that the event was certainly<br />
an efficient meeting. The event ended with the planning<br />
of joint efforts to transform the cooperation between<br />
the university and the industry into project outputs.<br />
AR-GE KÜLTÜRÜNÜN ARTMASI<br />
İHRACATI YÜKSELTİR<br />
<strong>Tekstil</strong>’19 Ar-Ge Gününde yapılan<br />
açılış konuşmalarında Fakülte<br />
Dekanı Prof. Dr. Ömer Berk Berkalp,<br />
katılımcılara fakültenin lisans ve<br />
lisansüstü öğretim programları ile<br />
öğretim üyelerinin mevcut araştırma<br />
potansiyelleri ile fakültenin<br />
araştırma imkanlarını sanayiye<br />
tanıtan bir konuşma yaptı. Tüm Ar-<br />
Ge merkezleri ile üniversite-sanayi iş<br />
birliğine açık olduklarını da ekledi.<br />
Ardından söz alan, İstanbul <strong>Tekstil</strong><br />
ve Hammaddeleri İhracatçıları<br />
Birliği (İTHİB) Başkanı Ahmet Öksüz,<br />
konuşmasında Türkiye tekstil sektörünün<br />
mevcut ihracat rakamları<br />
ile ilgili önemli bilgiler verdi. Öksüz,<br />
tekstil sektörünün Türkiye ekonomisi<br />
için önemine değinerek üniversite<br />
sanayi işbirliğinin ihracat hedeflerimiz<br />
ve sektörümüzün dönüşümü için<br />
kaçınılmaz olduğunu vurguladı. Ar-<br />
Ge kültürünün sektörde üniversitelerle<br />
yapılacak iş birliği ile daha da<br />
artmasının gerektiğini, yenilikçi ve<br />
nitelikli ürünlerle ihracatın ve ürün<br />
katma değerinin aynı oranda artacağının<br />
önemini belirtti. İTÜ Teknoloji<br />
Transfer Ofisi tarafından ulusal Ar-Ge<br />
ve İnovasyon Destekleme Programları<br />
hakkında sanayi temsilcilerine<br />
bilgi verildikten sonra sunum aralarında<br />
Fakültenin Ar-Ge merkezleri,<br />
laboratuvar alt yapısı ve endüstriyel<br />
hizmetleri katılımcılara tanıtıldı.<br />
ENDÜSTRİ İLE ÜNİVERSİTE BULUŞMASI<br />
Etkinlikte gün boyu yapılan 40 adet<br />
bilimsel sunum ile fakültenin mevcut<br />
araştırma kabiliyetini içeren laboratuvar<br />
gezileri ile tüm altyapının tanıtılmasının<br />
yanında akademisyen ve<br />
Ar-Ge merkezi temsilcilerinin Ar-Ge<br />
konularında görüş alışverişi yapabildiği,<br />
ortak proje imkanlarının tartışabildiği<br />
bir ortam sağlandı. Etkinlik<br />
kapsamında, fakülte ile sanayi işbirliği<br />
için ortak bir platform oluşturmayı ve<br />
sürdürülebilir proje işbirlikleri sağlamayı<br />
hedefleyen yetkililer, akademisyenlerin<br />
ve Ar-Ge merkezi temsilcilerinin<br />
bir araya geldiği ve görüş<br />
alışverişi yapabildiği verimli bir etkinlik<br />
olduğunu ifade ettiler. Üniversite ile<br />
endüstrinin iş birliğinin proje çıktılarına<br />
dönüşmesi için ortak çalışmaların<br />
planlanması ile etkinlik sona erdi.<br />
