“System has become unsustainable for Service
Providers”
Saying that the system has become unsustainable, Demir
said “Beside all these, violence in health has reached
the level of terrorism, every dreadful dream of working
in the health sector, from its manager to the secretary
sitting at the bench, the employees working in the health
institutions are worried that the citizens who enter
through the door will attack them soon”.
Demir said “That violence prone people in health,
even in serious injury crimes, have been released by
prosecution, demands about the deferred monetary
penalties which are insufficient to prevent crimes even
promoting crimes are disregarded. Legislation that
brings citizens and healthcare workers face increasingly
has been stronger and healthcare services have become
places to sign signatures demanded by institutions rather
than contributing to the health of citizens. Even being
attentive in making these signatures, which have no
scientific meaning and put employees at great risks, was
an excuse to attack the health worker. The health workers
who got tired of that the violence became ordinary,
generalized and unpunished repeatedly conveyed the
necessary measures to be taken against those concerned.
However, no precautionary measures were taken against
this violence, and the demands were blocked. That’s why,
despite the coldest day of the year, all roads covered
with snow and ice, Ankara’s frost, the call of AHEF was
met and ve On February 8, health workers from all over
the country met at the Anıtpark, the Great Ankara Rally.
İSTAHED was ready with all the Board of Directors and
its members filling three buses, with slogans and banners
expressing their demands in the field. At the end of our
journey, which started in Istanbul at 4 in the morning
and passed in joy despite the adverse weather and road
conditions, we entered the warm rally area of Ankara,
with the Elazig Family Physicians Association (ELAHED)
and İSTAHED banners.
Vatandaş ile sağlık çalışanını karşı karşıya getiren mevzuat
gittikçe güçlendi ve sağlık hizmeti vatandaşın sağlığına
katkıdan çok, kurumların talep ettiği imzaların atılması
için gelinen yerler oldu. Hiçbir bilimsel anlamı olmayan ve
çalışanları büyük risklerin altına atan bu imzaları atmakta
özenli davranmak bile sağlık çalışanına saldırmanın
bahanesi oldu. Sağlıkta şiddetin bu kadar sıradanlaşması,
genele yayılması ve karşılıksız kalması ile canından bezmiş
sağlık çalışanları, örgütleri aracılığı ile buna karşı alınması
gereken önlemleri defalarca ilgililerine iletti. Ne var ki bu
şiddete karşı etkili olacak hiçbir önleme imza atılmadı,
taleplere kulaklar tıkandı. İşte bu yüzden, yılın en soğuk
günü olmasına, tüm yolların kar ve buzla kaplanmasına,
Ankara’nın ayazına rağmen AHEF‘in çağrısı karşılık buldu
ve 8 Şubat’ta ülkenin her yerinden gelen sağlık çalışanları
Anıtpark’ta, Büyük Ankara Mitinginde buluştu. İSTAHED
de tüm Yönetim Kurulu ve üç otobüsü dolduran üyeleriyle,
alanda taleplerini dile getiren döviz ve pankartlarıyla
hazırdı.
Sabahın 4’ünde İstanbul’dan başlayan, olumsuz hava ve
yol koşullarına rağmen neşe içinde geçen yolculuğumuzun
sonunda Ankara’nın meşhur ayazında sıcacık miting
alanına, önde Elazığ Aile Hekimleri Derneği (ELAHED)
ve İSTAHED pankartlarımızla giriş yaptık. Depremin
oluşturduğu yaraları sarmaya devam ettiği için mitinge
gelemeyen Elazığ’lı meslektaşlarımızın kalbinin bizimle
olduğunu biliyorduk ve ‘YÜREKLER ELAZIĞ’DA, ELAHED
ARAMIZDA’ yazan pankartlarıyla fiziksel olarak da alanda
olmalarını istemiştik. Hiç kimse geride kalmamalıydı. Hiç
kimseyi arkamızda bırakmamalıydık.”
“Alanda Taleplerimiz Netti”
Etkin ve caydırıcı bir ‘Sağlıkta Şiddet Yasası’ istiyorduk
diyen Demir, “Sağlık magandasının aynı suçu ertesi
gün işlemeye cesaret edememesini istiyorduk, şiddete
sebep olan tüm mevzuatın elden geçirilmesini istiyorduk.
Yıllar içinde yitirilen özlük haklarımızın geri verilmesini
istiyorduk. Ücretli vekâletsiz izin hakkı istiyorduk.
