ESTRUS AND OVULATION SYNCHRONIZATION
IN POST PARTUM COWS

Summary
The estrus synchronization, by new “Ovsynch” methode, in the post partum cows,
were investigated. The total of 191 cows were treated with combination of GnRh +
PGF + GnRH injection, 60. day after calwing, for estrus and ovulation synchronization.

Calwing rate were compared with the results obtained after classical prostaglandin treatment.
Treatment with “Ovsynch” methode were result with greater calwing rate (52%),
compared with classical prostaglandin treatment (48%). The increasing occurrence of reproductive
patology (particulary endomatritis) were estimated in the cows tretated by new
“Ovsynch” methode.
