Gyeokpo Beach and Pensions
Gyeokpo Beach is part of the Byeonsan Peninsula
National Park and its sandy beach lies is 500m long.
The water is pure and not too deep, which makes
it proper for swimming for people of all ages. The
Gyeokpo Beach is situated near Chaeseokgang Cliffs,
so visitors can climb up to the cliffs with friends and
enjoy panoramic view of the west coast from the top
of the cliffs. Swimming period starts from July until
August. While swimming and lying on the beach you
also have access to explore the cliffs, which is one
of the unique features of Gyeokpo Beach. Also, there
are many other places nearby such as: Byeonsanbando
Cliffs, Byeonsan Aqua World and Gyeokpo Park.
Accommodation facilities allows guests to stay and
enjoy the most magnificent sunset along each. If
you go on a family trip it’s better to reserve hotel,
whereas for big group of people it’s comfortable to
reserve pensions. I stayed at the Heal Me Heal You
Pension, that is two minutes walk from the beach. This
pension had barbecue menu for the dinner in beautiful
camping designed interior with a view of the beach. At
night by the seashore, you can light up fireworks you
can buy from nearby stores.
격포 해수욕장과 펜션
격포 해수욕장은 변산반도 국립공원의 일부분이며 500m의
모래사장이 줄지어 있다. 물은 깨끗하고 너무 깊지 않아서 모든
연령대의 사람들에게 수영하기에 적당하다. 채석강 절벽 근처에
위치한 격포 해수욕장은 친구들과 함께 절벽으로 올라가 절벽
꼭대기에서 서해안의 전경을 감상할 수 있다. 수영 기간은 7월부터
8월까지 이다. 수영하고 해변에 누워있을 수도 있겠지만, 격포
해변에 유명한 절벽을 탐방 할 수 있다. 또한 근처에 변산반도 절벽,
변산 워터파크, 격포 공원 등 많은 곳이 있다. 숙박시설에 머물면서
해변을 따라 지는 웅장한 일몰을 감상 할 수 있다. 가족 여행을
간다면 호텔을 예약하는 것이 좋지만, 일행 수가 많으면 팬션을
예약하는 것을 추천한다. 필자는 힐미힐유 펜션에 머물렀는데,
그 호텔은 해변에서 걸어서 2분 걸린다. 힐미힐유 펜션에서는
저녁메뉴로 캠핑장 에서 해변을 바라보며 바베큐를 즐길 수 있다.
그리고 불꽃놀이 할 것들을 가져오지 않았더라도, 근처 가게에서
구입하여 해변가에서 밤 늦게까지 불꽃놀이를 즐길 수 있다.
수영을 즐기는 것과 바닷가로 피서를 가는 것은 전라북도의 주된
여름 피서 중 하나이다. 그렇다면, 이 장소들을 방문해 시원한
여름을 보내는 것은 어떨까?
Swimming in the beach is one of the main summer
activities in the Jeollabuk-do Province. So why not
visit these spots and cool off from the summer heat?
