It should come as no surprise then that
family values are also deeply embedded
in the way they run the space. As husband
and wife, the restaurant is very much
a representation of their journey as a
couple. From photographs of the two
of them to menus detailing their family
history, it allows customers to be apart
of their story. Taeyeon, K-pop star from
Girls’ Generation is just one example of
the attention this place is getting. Just
recently, they also had the mayor of
Jeonju dining there and taking pictures
in traditional ponchos. The way they
honor the Mexican culture pays tribute
to the importance of celebrating who
you are and never forgetting your roots.
Cavazos Tradition

The food is authentically Mexican,
the recipes have been passed down
from the Cavazos family, Isabel’s
grandmother as matriarch. As their
menu reads, it is prepared with
much love and affection to all of the
customers. They have created a place
where you can enjoy real Mexican
food, coffee, tequila, micheladas
and feel within you that the country
is alive and singing. Although Koo
is Korean, he is no stranger to the
culture as he had lived in Mexico for
several years. He often greets guests
in Spanish and shares his passion and
knowledge of the gastronomy of the
country. Replicating the flavors, spices
and tastes of real Mexican food isn’t
easy but luckily as the originators, they
have executed their dishes flawlessly.
While Guanajuato is known for narrow
streets and colorful alleyways, Isabel
and Koo’s have gifted a piece of this
picturesque city to Jeonju. Now we all
have the opportunity to meet the real
food, art, parties and warmth of their
home.
음식은 멕시코 정통식이며, 레시피는 이사벨의
할머니인 카바조스의 가족으로부터 전해 내려왔다.
그들의 메뉴를 읽어보면, 그들은 모든 고객에게
사랑과 애정으로 음식을 준비한다는 것을 알 수 있다.
부부는 진정한 멕시코 음식, 커피, 데킬라, 칵테일을
즐길 수 있는 장소를 만들었고, 고객들로 하여금
멕시코의 생생함을 느끼고 노래하고 있다는 것을
느끼게 했다. 구는 한국인임에도 불구하고, 몇 년
동안 멕시코에서 살았기 때문에 이 문화가 낯설지가
않다. 그는 종종 스페인어로 손님들을 맞이하고, 그
도시의 미식법에 대한 열정과 지식을 공유한다. 진짜
멕시코의 맛과 향을 똑같이 하는 것이 쉽지 않았지만,
운좋게도 그들은 원래의 음식과 같은 맛을 결점없이
만들어냈다.

과나후아토는 좁은 거리와 화려한 골목길로
유명한데, 이사벨과 구는 전주에 이 그림 같은 도시의
한 부분을 선물했다. 이제 우리는 그들의 집에서 진짜
음식, 예술, 파티와 따뜻함을 마주할 기회를 얻게
되었다.
