Significant progress in development was also achieved at the
wine estate. The 16-hectare estate, previously owned by the Franco
family, was completely rebuilt at the end of the 90s, giving it a
new lease of life. Centuries old stone walls were repaired, sloping
terraces were recultivated and precious vines were planted. The
former buildings also needed to be renovated and extended. Ideas
and passion transformed an estate that was in a state of disrepair
into an exclusive vineyard boasting Syrah, Cabernet and Merlot
wines. The Castell Miquel line-up also includes multi-award-winonsfähigkeit

In den Schoß gefallen sind ihm die Erfolge bei der Bionorica und
bei Castell Miquel nicht. Bei pflanzlichen Arzneimitteln leitete
Popp eine Revolution ein. So betreibt die Bionorica einen großen
weltweiten wissenschaftlichen Aufwand, um die Wirkung und
Nebenwirkungsarmut der inzwischen 16 Bionorica-Phytopharmaka
zu verdeutlichen und neue Präparate zu entwickeln.
Enorme Entwicklungsarbeit fand auch beim Weingut statt. Denn
das Ende der 90er Jahre erworbene 16 Hektar große Gut, das vormals
der Franco-Familie gehörte, wurde komplett umgebaut und
zu neuem Leben erweckt. Jahrhundertealte Steinmauern wurden
wieder aufgerichtet, die Terrassen in der Hanglage rekultiviert
und kostbare Rebstöcke gepflanzt. Zeitgleich mussten die
vorhandenen Gebäude saniert und ausgebaut werden. Aus einem
nahezu verfallenen Landgut entstand so mit Ideen und Herzblut
ein exklusives Weingut mit Syrah-, Cabernet- und Merlotweinen.
Auch mehrfach prämierter Weißwein ist mittlerweile im Programm
von Castell Miquel. Traditionelles Winzerwissen wird mit
modernsten Produktionsverfahren verbunden, stets mit einem
klaren Ziel: „Wir achten darauf, dass wir nur Spitzenweine pro-

in his advice: “Enjoying wine healthily means drinking in moderation,
which means one or two glasses at the most per day”, he
explains.
Success hasn’t always been handed out on a plate for Bionorica
and Castell Miquel. Popp is causing a revolution in the homoeopathic
field. Bionorica is driving an important international effort
to scientifically determine the effects and side effects of the 16 Bionorica
phytopharmaceutical products currently available, as well
as developing new compounds.
