Wirtschaftsentwicklung
Die österreichische Wirtschaft (das
Bruttoinlandsprodukt) wuchs 2012 real um
0,8 % im Vergleich zum Vorjahr. Während
sich die Konjunktur außerhalb von Europa
erholt, erlebt der Euro-Raum nach 2009
erneut eine Rezession.
Zusätzlich dämpfen verschiedene
internationale Faktoren aktuell das Wachstum
in Europa, wie Einschränkungen bei der
öffentlichen Nachfrage und reduzierter
Welthandel durch Ausgabenbremsen in den
USA sowie geringeres Wirtschaftswachstum
in Asien.
In diesem Umfeld wird das exportorientierte
Österreich 2013 nur ein moderates BIP-
Wachstum in Höhe von 0,4 % erzielen.
Aufgrund dieses schwachen internationalen
Umfelds steigen die Bruttoanlageinvestitionen
sowohl im Bau- als auch im
Ausrüstungsbereich und die Exporte nur
leicht an. Geringer Zuwachs bei den
Realeinkommen und Sparanstrengungen der
privaten Haushalte belasten die
Konsumnachfrage. Die Arbeitslosenquote
steigt weiter leicht auf 5,0 % an. Das Nachge-

The Austrian economy (GDP) increased by
0.8 % in 2012 compared to the previous
year.
While the economy has recovered outside
Europe the Euro zone has seen a second
recession after 2009. A reduction in public
spending and international trade due to
spending-cuts in the U.S. and an only
moderate economic growth in Asia has led to
a slow-down in the European recovery.
In this environment the export-biased
Austria will only achieve a moderate GDP
increase of 0.4 % for 2013.
Gross capital investments in the construction
industry as well as in technical equipment
will only increase slightly because of
weaknesses in the international economy.
Consumer demand is affected by small
gains in real income and a higher rate in
private savings. The unemployment rate
will rise to 5.0 %. A lack of demand for raw
materials will stabilize the inflation at 2.2 %
in 2013 and will continue to fall to 2.0 % in
2014.
