Intraoperative imaging and neuronavigation by 3D ultrasound. Demonstration
of SonoWand (MISON, Norway), the first single-rack intraoperative
imaging and navigation system based on 3D ultrasound. The technology is
described, advantages and benefits of this concept are presented, and a
number of simple but important clinical considerations are described. These
considerations are necessary in order to maintain excellent ultrasound image
quality throughout the entire operation. Professor Unsgaard (Trondheim,
Norway) will share some of his clinical experiences from more than 5
years use of SonoWand.
