In St. Anton am Arlberg the couple<br />
run the Hotel Bergschlössl and<br />
the ski bar Basecamp. In 2012 they<br />
opened the exclusive Lech Lodge<br />
Chalets in Omesberg, a part of<br />
Lech. The idea behind the innovative<br />
concept: A place of retreat for<br />
people who want to spend private<br />
holidays, surrounded by their loved<br />
ones – pure quality time. A personal<br />
assistant, or “fairy godmother”,<br />
takes care of the rest.<br />
world. They are looking for alpine charm<br />
but have high demands when it comes to<br />
architecture. In this respect working with<br />
our architect Christian Prasser already<br />
paid off in Lech. It’s about being comfortable<br />
and about individual lifestyle without<br />
the rules that are usually imposed in<br />
hotels. The guest doesn’t have to adapt,<br />
the service is adapted to the guest. The<br />
“fairy godmother” has intense contact<br />
with the guests and adapts to their needs.<br />
And in addition to that the guests of<br />
<strong>Kitzbühel</strong> Lodge also have the freedom to<br />
use the facilities, restaurant and events of<br />
<strong>Kitzbühel</strong> Country Club, too.<br />
L.L. You are now starting to successfully implement your<br />
concept in <strong>Kitzbühel</strong>. Why here? What connects the two<br />
places?<br />
J.M. Lech am Arlberg and <strong>Kitzbühel</strong> both look back on a<br />
long tradition as tourism destinations. We have a close private<br />
connection with Richard Hauser and his family – our parents<br />
used to make music together and visit each other and we<br />
witnessed each other’s education and successes and always<br />
communicated intensely. Lech Lodge was opened the same<br />
year the <strong>Kitzbühel</strong> Country Club was opened. We supported<br />
each other throughout all the phases and that was also when<br />
the idea for the <strong>Kitzbühel</strong> Lodge came up. We wanted to expand<br />
and <strong>Kitzbühel</strong> Country Club offered the possibility.<br />
R.H. It wasn’t so much the city of <strong>Kitzbühel</strong> that was consciously<br />
chosen, it was <strong>Kitzbühel</strong> Country Club. As a result of<br />
this connection we can offer maximum individual service.<br />

in a high-quality fashion. <strong>Kitzbühel</strong> Country Club also is the<br />
only club in Austria that was accepted into the International<br />
