L.L. What ideas from Lech were put into practise at Kitzbühel
Country Club? What differences are there between the
Kitzbühel Lodge and Lech Lodge Chalets?
K.M. The level of service is the same. That’s what we
brought from Lech, as well as the architecture. The Country
Club Kitzbühel has the advantage of a large range of additional
options – swimming pool, salon bar, cigar lounge and –
and that’s unique – the possibilities the large network offers.
J.M. It’s a great opportunity for the guest to be private but
to also enjoy the comforts of a cinema, a restaurant and
numerous events – and all that in an authentic atmosphere,
far away from glitzy jetset. We use high-quality, authentic
materials that are not just there for effect. The result is an
extremely comfortable feel.
K.M. The guests in Kitzbühel and Lech are very similar.
Which is why we’re convinced that the concept will work in
the “city of the chamois”, too.
J.M. The guest brings a lot of appreciation, they sense the quality
of the materials and of the details and we know them to take
good care of everything, too. The new lodge in Kitzbühel may
mean that a guest from Lech comes here, too, and vice-versa.
L.L. The lodges in Kitzbühel have a very special look.
Who’s responsible for the design?
J.M. The architecture is Christian Prasser’s work, who also
designed Lech Lodge with us. In Kitzbühel the lodges are
located on a floor with about 1,000 square metres which can
also be rented exclusively for 26 people. That also includes a
private salon and a 200 square metres terrace with a view
of Wilder Kaiser. Perfect for family celebrations! In terms of
design we always want to include traditional crafts and local
artists. The bathroom tiles are hand-made and painted using
and original technique from the 17 th century by the Sijtsma
family in Frisia. And we have two artists who work with glass
here from Kitzbühel, they’ve contributed their works, too:
