branches. These 1,700 companies guarantee a good 10,350 jobs<br />
and facilitate high trade tax receipts. Pacemakers of business<br />
dynamics include institutions such as the <strong>Ravensburg</strong>-<br />
Weingarten University and the College of Education as well as<br />
the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Bodensee-Oberschwaben.<br />
The characteristics of this location also include two<br />
conference hotels and tourism which is attracted by the basilica,<br />
the largest baroque church north of the Alps. To a large extent<br />
Weingarten has also established itself as a many-side<br />
residential town for all requirements which is attractive due to<br />
schools and nursery schools being located in the neighbourhood<br />
area, good shopping facilities and a broad sports and<br />
cultural offer. Citizens also benefit from short distances within<br />
the town – for going to work and for private purposes.<br />
