UNPLUGGED ON TOUR
Diverse Bands tourten während der Skisaison für jeweils einen Tag durch die SkiArena
Andermatt-Sedrun sowie durch die Lokale von Andermatt und gaben dort Konzerte.
During the skiing season various bands toured through the SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun for
one day, each holding concerts at the local venues in Andermatt.
MAMMUT ALPINE FESTIVAL
Die Bergführer der Mammut Alpine
School luden nach Andermatt ein, um die
Bergwelt zu entdecken und den Outdoor
Spirit zu erleben. Eisklettern, Freeriden,
Skitouren, Schneeschuhtouren und die
Lawinensicherheit waren die Themen
dieses Festivals.
The mountain guides at the Mammut Alpine
School invited visitors to Andermatt to
experience the mountain world and the spirit
of the great outdoors. The topics covered by
the festival included ice climbing, freeriding,
ski touring, snowshoe touring and avalanche
safety.
BIRÄWEGGÄRENNÄ
THE BIRÄWEGGÄRENNÄ
Das traditionelle «Biräweggärennä» in
Andermatt beim Tristel, gegenüber der
Gemsstockbahn, fand dieses Jahr bei
herrlichem Sonnenschein statt. Nach
Abschluss des Rennens bekamen alle
Kinder als Preis eine grosse «Biräweggä».
Andermatt's traditional children's skiing
and sledging race, the Biräweggärennä,
took place this year at Tristel, opposite the
Gemsstock railway, in glorious sunshine.
At the end of the race all the children were
presented with the prize of a large
“Biräweggä”, a local pastry speciality.

Wochenende. Bereits heute darf man sich auf die nächste Runde im Winter 2018 freuen.

GOTTHARD – FORTSCHRITT UM
JEDEN PREIS
Es war die spektakulärste Baustelle der
Neuzeit: Die Realisation des Eisenbahntunnels
am Gotthard zog Hunderte von
Menschen aus ganz Europa an. Die
Schweizer Filmproduktion «Gotthard –
Fortschritt um jeden Preis» fängt die
Dramatik dieser Pionierepoche ein und
versetzt den Zuschauer zurück ins Jahr
1873. Im Mittelpunkt des Geschehens im
Urner Dorf Göschenen stehen die einheimische
Fuhrmannstochter Anna, der
deutsche Ingenieur Max und der italienische
Mineur Tommaso. Streiks, gefährliche
Einstürze, die mysteriöse Tunnelkrankheit
und Liebeswirren stellen ihre Freundschaft
auf die Probe. Der Film des Schweizer
Regisseurs Urs Egger kombiniert
Action, historische Dokumentation und
Romantik – gekonnt umgesetzt von
namhaften Schauspielern wie Roeland
Wiesnekker, Carlos Leal oder Miriam Stein.

It was one of the most spectacular construction
sites of recent times: the building of the
Gotthard railway tunnel drew hundreds of
people from across Europe. The Swiss film
production “ Gotthard – Fortschritt um jeden
Preis” (“Gotthard – Progress at any Cost”)
captures the drama of the pioneering age
and transports the viewer back to 1873. The
focus of events in the Uri village of Göschenen
are the local coachman’s daughter Anna,
German engineer Max and Italian miner
Tommaso. Strikes, dangerous collapses,
the mysterious tunnel disease and love
troubles push their friendship to the limits.
The film by Swiss director Urs Egger combines
action, historic documentary and
romance – skilfully portrayed by renowned
actors including Roeland Wiesnekker, Carlos
Leal and Miriam Stein.
