I thank the EWE organization for arranging this
exchange between the Zambian and German youths
because it has really helped me to become more
interested and experienced in what I am intending
to do for my living. I also thank God that I am still
at good health from the time I came until now. I am
happy and glad to report again once more about my
staying.

Priscilla
Ich heiße Priscilla Daka, bin 18 Jahre alt, geboren am
8. September 2000. Ich lebe im südlichen Teil von
Sambia, in Namalundu Kafue Gorge.
2007 bin ich in die Namalundu Grundschule
gekommen, 2015 habe ich an der St. Joseph´s Secondary
School meine mittlere Reife bestanden und 2018 an
derselben Schule mein Abitur. Ich habe insgesamt 8
Punkte erreicht bei dieser letzten Prüfung. An der
St. Joseph´s Schule habe ich auch unterschiedliche
Auszeichnungen und Bescheinigungen erhalten als
eine der besten und intelligentesten Schülerinnen.
Ich lebe mit meinen beiden Eltern zusammen in
Kafue Gorge. Mein Vater arbeitet als Polizist beim
Militär und meine Mutter kümmert sich um unsere
gesamte Familie. Ich habe noch vier Geschwister, drei
Brüder und eine Schwester, zusammen sind wir also
fünf Kinder.
Mein älterer Bruder Samuel ist 20 Jahre alt, meine
Schwester Joyce ist 16, mein jüngerer Bruder Joseph
ist 14 und mein kleiner Bruder Daniel ist 3 Jahre alt.
My name is Priscilla Daka, I am 18 years of age and I
was born on the 8th of September 2000. I live in the
southern part of Zambia in Namalundu Kafue Gorge.
I started my grade one at Namalundu Primary School
in 2007 and I wrote my seventh grade examination
at the same school. I passed grade seven and went to
St.Joseph´s Secondary School where I wrote my junior
examination in 2015. I passed the exams and went back
to the same school for my senior education and that is
where I finished my education last year 2018. I scored
8 points on the final senior exams. While I was at St.
Joseph´s, I obtained different awards and certificates
for being one of the best and brightest students.
I live with both my parents in Kafue Gorge. My father
is in military service as a police officer and my mother
takes care of us and our whole family. I have four
siblings: three brothers and one sister which makes us
five in total. My big brother Samuel is 20 years old, my
sister Joyce is 16, my younger brother Joseph is 14 and
my baby brother Daniel is 3 years of age.
I do not have an occupation at the moment and I
enjoy drawing and art, watching television, reading
novels and sleeping during my free time. I also enjoy
listening to music and talking to people (engaging
myself in conversation with people).
My life is an open book and I like talking to people
about myself when I am asked to do so. I really want
to study engineering when I am back from Germany
(biomedical engineering to be more specific). I love
having friends around and talking to people in order
to get to know them better and I enjoy learning new
things.
