Perspektiven Es sind mehrere Phase-II- und Phase-III-Studien im Gange, welche andere Therapiemöglichkeiten der Zöliakie prüfen. Dazu gehören Gliadin-spaltende Enzyme, Tightjunction-Agonisten oder die Impfung. Wie eine glutenfreie Diät durchgeführt wird, sollte immer zusammen mit einer Ernährungsberatung besprochen werden. Zudem empfehlen die Autoren auch, dass Neudiagnostizierte der IG Zöliakie (der Schweizerischen Patientenorganisation) beitreten. Bezüglich der Nachsorge soll neben der periodischen Bestimmung der Zöliakie-Antikörper auch eine jährliche Bestimmung von Blutbild sowie von Vitaminen und Spurenelementen (Ferritin, Zink, Vitamin B12, Folsäure, Vi tamin D) erfolgen.
