WEEKND VIBES
Eine Mercedes-Benz-Werbung im Herbst 2019 genügte, um
den kanadischen R’n’B Sänger The Weeknd auch in Europa
zum Superstar zu machen. Mit seinem Hit „Blinded by the
Lights“ sowie einer fulminanten Halbzeit-Show beim Superbowl
ist Abel Makkonen Tesfaye aus der Popwelt nicht mehr
wegzudenken – und die Tickets für seine Show in der Olympiahalle
werden heiß gehandelt.

ALLES IN BEWEGUNG
Als multidisziplinäre Künstlerin in den Bereichen Klang
und visuelle Poesie, Performance, experimentelle Musik,
Hörspiel, Happening, Collage und Fotografie spielt Katalin
Ladik mit visuellem und sprachlichem Ausdruck, sowie Bewegung
und Gestik. Begleitend zu ihrer ersten Ausstellung
in Deutschland, findet eine Soundresidency mit Live-Performances,
Filmscreening und Gespräch statt.
As a multidisciplinary artist in the fields of sound and visual
poetry, performance, experimental music, radio play, happening,
collage and photography, Katalin Ladik plays with visual
and linguistic expression, as well as movement and gesture.
Accompanying her first exhibition in Germany, there will be a
sound residency with live performances, film screenings and talks.

SKANDALÖS
Zu einem burlesken Spektakel zwischen Revue und Musical
lädt dieses Jahr das Enfant terrible der Modewelt. Jean Paul
Gaultier bringt seine „Fashion Freak Show“ nach München
und verspricht neben einem packenden Bühnenbild, mitreißender
Musik und phänomenalen Kostümen einen humorvoll-provokanten
Abend mit Zitaten aus 50 Jahren Popkultur.
This year, the enfant terrible of the fashion world invites us to
a burlesque spectacle between revue and musical. Jean Paul
Gaultier is bringing his Fashion Freak Show to Munich and
promises a provocative and funny evening that combines 50
years of pop culture with a gripping stage set, rousing music
and already iconic costumes.

to make the Canadian R&B singer The Weeknd a superstar in

pop world without Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, and tickets for his

LICHT ÜBER DER STADT
Das muss man gesehen haben! Einmal im Jahr taucht ein
Feuerwerk der Superlative den Olympiasee in die prächtigsten
Farben. Fein abgemischt auf Klassik und Chart-Hits,
bietet das legendäre Open-Air-Event aber auch vielfältige
Kulinarik, kühle Drinks und angesagte Live-Acts. Headliner
des diesjährigen „Sommernachtstraums“ ist der Reggae-
Rapper Gentleman.
A must-see! Once a year, a fireworks display of superlatives
bathes Lake Olympia in pure colour. Finely mixed with classical
music and chart hits, the legendary open-air event also
offers a variety of culinary delights, cool drinks and hip live
acts. Headliner of this year‘s Summer Night‘s Dream is reggae
rapper Gentleman.

TANZ UND TRADITION
Alle Jahre wieder, wenn morgens die ersten Sonnenstrahlen
den Englischen Garten küssen, treffen sich die Volkstanzbegeisterten
der Stadt zu einer ganz besonderen Tradition, dem
„Kocherlball“. 1904 noch von der Obrigkeit als Mangel an Sittlichkeit
verboten, findet er seit 1989 wieder jährlich statt und
ehrt in den frühen Morgenstunden bei Tanz und Musik die
Hausangestellten des 19. Jahrhunderts.
Every year, when the first rays of sun kiss the English Garden,
the city’s folk dance enthusiasts gather for a very special tradition.
Still banned by the authorities in 1904 as a lack of morality,
the Kocherlball has been held annually again since 1989
and honours the domestic servants of the 19th century in the
early hours of the morning with dance and music.

THE BOSS IS BACK
Ganze sechs Jahre sind vergangen, seit Bruce Springsteen
und seine E Street Band den Abschluss ihrer letzten Tour
feierten. Und wer den Boss kennt, der weiß: Der Mann ist
rastlos. Und so bringt er diesen Sommer sein gefeiertes
neues Studio-Album „Letter to you“ auch in München auf die
Bühne. Fans können sich auf eine explosive Show freuen, die
gerne mal an der 3-Stunden-Grenze kratzt.
A whole six years have passed since Bruce Springsteen and his
E Street Band celebrated the end of their last tour. And anyone
who knows the Boss knows: the man is restless. And so this summer
he is bringing his celebrated new studio album „Letter to
You“ to the stage in Munich as well. Fans can look forward to an
explosive show, which sometimes scratches the 3-hour mark.

Nach der Dult ist vor der Dult und so dürfen wir uns auch
diesen Sommer wieder auf neun Tage voller Tradition und
Nostalgie freuen. Dabei bietet der größte Geschirrmarkt
Europas auf der „Jakobidult in der Au“ auch allerlei kulinarische
Angebote, Fahrgeschäfte aus alten Zeiten, drei Bierzelte
und echtes Münchner Lebensgefühl rechts der Isar. Ein Tipp
für all die, denen große Volksfeste too much sind.
After the Dult is before the Dult and so this summer we can
once again look forward to nine days full of tradition and
nostalgia. Europe‘s largest tableware market at the Jakobidult
also offers all kinds of culinary delights, rides from the old
days, three beer tents and a real Munich lifestyle on the right
bank of the Isar. A tip for all those who find the big folk festivals
too much.

Franz Eberhofer ermittelt wieder. Der Dorfpolizist aus
Niederkaltenkirchen geht in „Rehragout-Rendezvous“, der
bereits neunten Verfilmung der Provinzkrimis von Rita Falk,
einem Vermisstenfall nach und steht vor schier unlösbaren
Aufgaben. Und zu allem Übel, will auch die Oma nicht mehr
kochen und stattdessen einfach nur chillen. Ausgerechnet zu
Weihnachten ...
Franz Eberhofer is investigating again. In „Rehragout-Rendezvous“,
the ninth film adaptation of Rita Falk‘s provincial
detective stories, the village policeman from Niederkaltenkirchen
investigates a missing person case and is faced with
almost unsolvable tasks. And to make matters worse, grandma
doesn‘t want to cook anymore and just wants to chill instead.

KULTURFLUSS
Konzerte und Kleinkunst direkt am Münchner Stadtfluss. Das
„Isarinselfest“ lädt wieder entlang des Isarufers an der Steinsdorfstraße
zu einem der gemütlichsten Open-Airs der Stadt.
Zwischen Ludwigs- und Maximiliansbrücke sind an drei Tagen
viel Musik, aber auch Kabarett, Aktionen und Shows von
Münchner Gruppen und Vereinen auf vier Bühnen geboten.
Concerts and cabaret right on Munich‘s city river. The Isarinselfest
once again invites you to one of the city‘s cosiest openair
festivals along the banks of the Isar on Steindorfstraße.
Between Ludwigsbrücke and Maximiliansbrücke, there will be
plenty of music, but also cabaret, activities and shows by Munich
groups and associations on four stages over three days.
