Aims + Objectives
Knowledge of goals, tasks, problems, procedures,
methods and tools for the enterprise-wide management
of computer-based information and
communication. Capability and skills to cope
with typical management functions like planning
and controlling, organization and coordination of
information as a resource, the I&C-systems and
the I&C-technologies in a corporate context.
Teaching Method
Lecture with discussion, case studies, and handson-practice

Historical development of the corporate information
and communication systems and their
management. Concepts and tasks of a modern
corporate I&C-management. Strategic I&C-Planning:
Situational analy-sis, objectives and strategies,
measures especially application architecture
and project-portfolio. I&C-Project management:
Organisation, planning, control, controlling.
I&C-Organization: Imbedding of the I&C-function
in the companies organization, internal organization,
centralisation/decentralisation, management
organization. I&C-Outsourcing: Reasons
and goals, products and services, partners,
institutionalization, co-ordination. I&C-Control:
approaches and architectures, controlling, cost
accounting, audit, lean-management.
