community centered on shared public and landscaped<br />

spaces in the Middle East Cities and thus<br />

introducing the idea for “neighborhood parks in<br />

the sky” (Fig.8). These shared spaces are intended<br />

to act as catalysts for creating a community identity<br />

within a large living space. The whole complex is<br />

sharing a retail souk (traditional shopping center)<br />

environment in the base. The vertical public spaces<br />

and landscape are distributed connectively on all<br />

the four parts of the project. Vertical cores are used<br />

for services, vertical circulation and also work as<br />

supports for the floating habitable bridges (Fig. 9).<br />

The four components are capsulated in an external<br />

structure ‘veil’ (Fig. 8 a,b and Fig 9) which provides<br />

solar energy collection, through photovoltaic panels<br />

spread throughout the exterior screen, and aid-
