John Searle is Chairman of the Company’s Management
Board. He has been in charge of Saft Group’s operations
since 2002. John Searle is also Chairman and Managing
Director of Saft SAS. He joined the Saft Group in 1990 and
has held various sales and management posts in the UK and
then in France. In 1999, John Searle was appointed to head
the Specialty Battery Group division. Before joining the Saft
Group, he was Operations Manager at Manchester Steel and
Sales Manager at Saunders Valve in the UK. John Searle holds
an engineering degree from Cambridge University. John Searle
does not perform, nor has he performed over the past fi ve
years, any duties other than those mentioned above.

Thomas Alcide has been the SBG division’s Director since
2004. Before that, he was Director of the Group’s lithium
batteries division from 2002 to 2004 and Director of its Valdese
plant until 2002. Previously, he held various management
positions within the Group in the United States. Before joining
Saft in 1988, Thomas Alcide performed engineering duties
at Duracell. He holds an engineering degree from California
Coast University and an electronics technology degree from
the Arizona Institute of Technology. Thomas Alcide does not
perform, nor has he performed over the past fi ve years, any
duties other than those mentioned above.

Bruno Dathis joined Saft Group in March 2008 as Chief
Financial Offi cer. He is a graduate of the Institut d’Études
Politiques de Paris and holds a Masters degree in economics
from the University of Paris. He is also a Certifi ed Public
Accountant. A former audit partner with Ernst and Young, in
1999, Bruno Dathis was appointed Chief Financial Offi cer
of Balmain and was a member of the Board of Directors.
He joined Myers Industries Incorporated in 2004 as Chief
Financial Offi cer for its European Allibert Buckhom division.
Bruno Dathis does not perform, nor has he performed over the
past fi ve years, any duties other than those mentioned above.

Xavier Delacroix has served as General Manager of IBG since
January 2007. He joined the Space and Defence division
of Saft Group in 1992, and became Site Manager of the
SBG division’s Poitiers plant early in 2006. Xavier Delacroix
started his career with the French Defence Procurement Agency
(DGA). He holds an engineering degree from ESTACA and a
Master’s degree from ENSAM Paris. Xavier Delacroix does not
perform, nor has he performed over the past fi ve years, any
duties other than those mentioned above.
