Discover Scuba Diving
Learn the required equipment for scuba diving and how to
use it correctly. Practice in the AACC pool. Learn basic skills
and safety rules. Discuss requirements for basic scuba certification
and different types of certification. All equipment is
provided in the three-hour session. $70 include $30 fee.
Note: This is not a certification course. Students must be age 15
years or older to enroll. All students must complete a medical questionnaire
and liability waiver at the beginning of class.

basic Scuba Diving
Learn the basic requirements and practical techniques for
recreational scuba diving. Prepare to meet the requirements
for the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI)
certification. Discuss the physics related to diving; first aid
and safe practices in diving; dive planning; and underwater
communications. Demonstrate proper use and handling of
underwater breathing apparatus and other diving equipment.
CEUs awarded. $275 includes $207 fee.
Note: Student must pass a swimming exam. Includes textbook and
all scuba equipment except mask, snorkel and fins. A medical exam
may be required. Certification is available after successful completion
and four open water check-out dives (cost not included).
