My first book started as a memoir,<br />
to tell my grandchildren my story.<br />
I have worked as a successful engineer,<br />
college professor and entrepreneur, but I spent part of my childhood hiding<br />
from the Nazis during World War II. I wanted to tell my grandchildren<br />
my family’s story, to help them understand why my parents are my heroes,<br />
so I signed up for a noncredit class in writing memoirs at <strong>Anne</strong> <strong>Arundel</strong><br />
<strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong>. Ten classes later, my memoirs have been published<br />
and I’m working on two other books.<br />
