Certification program<br />

Learn the requirements of J-STD-001 Soldering and related<br />

standards as they apply to operators and inspectors involved<br />

in the assembly of products. Study general soldering requirements,<br />

wrapping and soldering of standard wire connections<br />

to various terminals, installing and soldering components<br />

in plated thru-hold boards, mounting and soldering components<br />

in SMT boards, inspection, criteria of the IPC/EIA J-STD-<br />

001, basic shop math, electronic component identification,<br />

skills required to apply for certification. Includes lecture, lab<br />

and demonstrations. The instructor is a registered JSTD-001<br />

trainer. Students who are successful in demonstrating the<br />

J-STD-001 requirements will be awarded a two-year operator<br />
