Fiber Optic VSB/AM Receivers - 15 Channels - MIBR/SIBR S4A-415
“Move Your Video Channels From Sub Return Coaxial Plant To Fiber! Free Up Valuable Spectrum & Improve Picture Quality!” RETRO-LINX
The MIBR/SIBR-S4A-415 series fiber optic receivers provide a
high-quality system for transferring up to fifteen video channels over
single mode optical fiber with complete EMI immunity. The units offer
exceptional analog bandwidth from 5 MHz to 350 MHz allowing transmission
of all sub-band channels, low-band channels may also be
accommodated. The best performance will be achieved when the
channel plan is designed to contain all of the channels within a single
octave of bandwidth. The system can transport TV channels, along
with their sound carriers, over a distance of 20 km at 1310 nm, on one
single mode fiber. A possible channel plan for the fifteen channel link
is TV channels A through I and 7 through 12. The carrier to noise ratio
(CNR) is typically 52 dB at low optical loss. The performance increases
as the channel loading decreases.
Stand Alone
It is very important to provide the proper RF signal level to the
receiver. The receiver includes a built in, tri-color LED. This optical level indicator allows the optimum optical input level
to be quickly and positively identified. If the LED is yellow, the input level is too low. If it is green, the input level falls
within the optimum range. When the optical input level is too high, the LED will be red. This product is recommended
for use with single mode fibers only, and a minimum fiber bandwidth of 500 MHz is required.
