Blonder Tongue’s WDM-1315 allows a single mode fiber to be used to simultaneously transmit<br />

two optical signals of different wavelengths. The unit at the transmit end combines a 1310 nm<br />

signal and a 1550 nm signal for output on to one single mode fiber. The unit at the receive end<br />

separates the two signals onto two optical fibers with minimal crosstalk and low loss. This<br />

allows ‘true two-way traffic’ in one single mode fiber, creating an optical return path. The WDM-<br />

1315 can also allow two signals to be sent in the same direction on one fiber<br />
