FIBER CONNECT
The FIBER CONNECT line fulfills all of your accessory needs, enabling Blonder Tongue to be your one-stop shop
for fiber optics. Our industry standard fiber management boxes allow for safe, convenient routing of your fibers at
the headend. Blonder Tongue has a wide variety of jumper cables, varying in lengths from 1m to 50m. The cables
are available in several popular, industry connector styles to ensure a fit with your equipment. Every installation is
different, that is why we carry a diverse line of couplers. The couplers are available from two to eight outputs, in
stand alone, LGX, or 19" rack mounted versions. The two and three port units come in a variety of splitting ratios to
enable custom configurations. The newest addition to the FIBER CONNECT line is the Wave Division Multiplexer
(WDM), which allows two-way optical traffic with in the same optical fiber. The unit can also allow two different signals
to go in the same direction at the same time with out interfering with each other. Another addition to the line is
the fixed optical attenuator. An optical attenuator can reduce the signal level being provided to a receiver to prevent
distortion from overdriving. The final crucial element to the line is being able to test the system. In one rugged, convenient
kit we provide all the tools that are necessary to test the basic performance of the system.
Whether you are considering consolidating headends, expanding to new areas, providing ingress-proof return signals,
transporting remote studio feeds, or stretching L-band signal further than ever before, Blonder Tongue has a
fiber optic solution to suit your needs. Blonder Tongue’s combination of engineering expertise and versatile product
line make us an ideal supplier for all of your fiber optic needs.
