After completion of the search, you will see the following display (example): Press the button. 98 Mainmenu - Search Channel You will be asked whether you wish to save the changes or not. Use the buttons to make the selection and confi rm with the button. If you select “Yes, save changes”, the newly found channels will be added to the end of the channel list. Then press the button to exit the menu. The channel list is called up on to the TV screen by pressing the button (see also the sections “Basic Operation in TV or Radio Mode”, “On-Screen Displays”, “Channel List TV/Radio”). After a search (of whatever type) the receiver shows all newly found channels in the channel list under the heading “New Channels”. You will fi nd this rubric in the channel list at the end of the green overall list (select using the buttons).
After calling up the menu you will see the following display: The buttons allow you to select different sets of parameters for the search. Satellite Use the buttons to select the satellite that is transmitting the channels to be searched. Make sure your reception system is aligned to the selected satellite. Transponder Frequency Use the buttons (transponder frequency already saved) or the number keys (transponder frequency not yet saved) to select the transponder frequency on which the channel being sought is broadcast. DVB Type Use the buttons to select whether the search should be for standard channels (DVB-S (SD)) or for HDTV channels (DVB-S2 (HDTV)). Modulation Use the buttons to select the appropriate type of modulation. There is no need to input the type of modulation when searching for standard channels. Instead a fi xed display of “Automatic” appears. When searching for HDTV channels you must enter the correct type of modulation (either QPSK or 8PSK). Polarisation Press the buttons to select the correct polarisation (horizontal or vertical). Symbol Rate Use the number keys to enter the related symbol rate. Service ID Mainmenu - Search Channel Use the buttons or the number keys to enter the service ID of the channel to be searched for. 99
