In the interest of a clearer presentation, we have condensed many<br />
items in the balance sheet and the profit and loss account. The<br />
relevant subitems are shown separately in the notes on the accounts<br />
in each case. On request, we will be pleased to send you the long<br />
versions of the balance sheet and the profit and loss account, in<br />
the format required by the German statutory order on insurance<br />
companies’ accounting and as presented to our auditor.<br />
