Since the first issue, readers of U8dc<br />

have been repeatedly exposed to ITC<br />

typefaces through their use in the editorial<br />

pages of our publication. Now it is<br />

your turn. The editors of U8z1c would like<br />

to feature in a special issue a selection of<br />

some of the most outstanding examples<br />

of typographic design, produced anywhere<br />

in the world, in which ITC typefaces<br />

have been used or featured—by its<br />

readers.<br />

Thus, this Call for Entries for the<br />

First Annual U8de/ITC (International<br />

Typographies Competition).<br />

Who Can Enter:<br />

Anyone, student or professional, from<br />

anpvhere in the world may submit<br />

entries to U&lc/ITC, except employees<br />

of ITC, U8dc, or designers of ITC typefaces.<br />

There are no entry fees. There are no<br />

hanging fees. This is a free competition.<br />

There is, however, one restriction to<br />

enter U&lc/ITC. The certification that,<br />

to the best of your knowledge, all ITC<br />

typefaces used were produced from type<br />

products manufactured by authorized<br />

ITC Subscribers.<br />

Qualifications for Submission:<br />

1. Any work produced since the formation<br />

of ITC in 1970 is eligible for submission.<br />

National Edition<br />

2. All entries must be designed with ITC<br />

typefaces.<br />

3. Entries need not be printed samples;<br />

they may, in fact, be entries prepared<br />

especially for submission to U&Ic/ITC.<br />

4. Entries cannot be returned. (Do not<br />

submit original art. )<br />

selected and shown in this issue of U&le.<br />

The entire exhibition will become<br />

part of a traveling show which will be<br />

available on loan throughout the world.<br />
