2. Organizational aspects
The organization has currently had 50 permanent staff and also has part time employees who
are contractors.
The organization also has Boards members but since then was ceased
3. Networking and institutional relations
Lutheran Development Services is national. It has centers established in other Provinces like
LDS in Mt. Hagen, Goroka, etc. it have a network with main church Lutheran and Government
Department NARI. The authority for this organization was derived from national as well as
local.
Other NGO’s group such as ADRA, City Mission, Salvation Army, Morobe NGO’s Kibung.
Established network with Agriculture Department – NARI for staff training.
4. Juridical and legal aspects
The organization was a fully registered body and nationally recognized body. Board members
were elected since under the Lutheran Economic Services but then abolished due to
management problem.
5. Financial aspects
The organization has the main funding sources from the Church (Lutheran), National
Government, District and local Level Government.
Also funding by donors such as European Union.
6. Activities and sectors
The LDS has three main programs;
Youngpela Didiman- Agriculture training for rural areas
Water Sanitation
