Production capacity multiplied by acquisitions since 1995
NEUSIEDLER has seen continued growth since the mid-nineties. With the acquisition
of paper mills in Hungary, Israel, Slovakia and Russia and the integration
of the South African plants of the Mondi Group, the Group has succeeded in increasing
its production capacity for uncoated wood-free papers from 0.3 million
tons in 1995 to 1.8 million tons today. This development has made NEUSIEDLER
an international player and has propelled us into the top echelon of European
office paper producers.
High degree of integration as a major factor of success
The NEUSIEDLER mills in Austria, Slovakia, Russia and South Africa are paper
and pulp producers. Hence, the Slovakian, Russian and South African mills produce
almost the entire pulp volume they need for their paper production. With
this high degree of integration, NEUSIEDLER is in a position to unleash enormous
synergies and optimisation potentials in its production chain, resulting in
considerable cost reductions and environmental improvement.
Ongoing cost reduction and process optimisation
Optimisation of the production and process quality was continued by
NEUSIEDLER in 2003. In addition to higher quality at competitive cost, the Group
also gains higher flexibility by allocating the production of the various products
in its range to the individual mills. NEUSIEDLER is thus able to offer a comprehensive
product range across all quality grades, with quality continuously being
optimised and production costs minimised.
